Did DVC offer incentives to join in the past? Do they have any now? We are going to join. We
are just trying to figure out who to get the financing from.
Thanks,
Suz

Suz,

I just joined (VWL, 150 pts), and took advantage of the current program, which is called Magical Beginnings. My use year begins in June, and I was offered an extra 150 points. I had the option to use them before June 2002, or sell some or all of them back to DVC at $10 per point. Since I won't be able to get down to WDW between now and June, I sold back all the points, which saved me a very nifty $1500 on my purchase. They applied that to my deposit/downpayment, so I only had to give them $750 and financed the rest.

So, you basically get a choice between an extra vacation or a discount on your purchase.

Hi Suz

We are just about neighbors. We are members at OKW and live up in Newburyport. I worked in Gloucester for 6 years. Which resort where you interested in buying into. Send me an email anytime to discuss DVC.

Take care

DVC does offer their own financing, which is certainly competitive. Some have found that they can find good financing with their own local lenders at times. You can check with your bank about an equity loan possibly.

The Magical Beginnings program is the primary incentive at this time. There is sometimes a special finance rate offered if a purchase is made within 30 days of taking the DVC tour.

At one time there was a program which included park passes, but that ended about 6 years ago. The passes themselves stopped 2 years ago. The strength of the program itself has been a sufficient incentive at this time- as evidenced by the rate of sales at VWL.
