weird - mine says 'charter cardmember'

Back then, they send a framed lithograph with a pin (and I think, numbered)

No. You will get $200 in Disney reward points. Any other purchase you make will also give you points at the rate of 1 point per $100.

When you are ready to use them, you should order a Disney Rewards card, with $20 minimum on it. You can then transfer to it $10 minimum. And use the card anywhere in the (disney) world.

No kidding, huh? My card says both "Member since Day 1" and "Charter Cardmember." Gee, we are so special... who needs the $200? (yikes, that equals $20,000 in purchases... thanks, chase.)

Anyone know how the points work after you have the card. Do you get 1 point for every dollar? I just put my braces on ours and wandering if we will get 6000 points.

Sounds like it's one point for every $100 spent, so you should be getting 60 points worth $60.

You get the card about a week after being approved. However it will be cutting it close on the closing of your first statement (when the points are actually available) and then ordering the cards and having it sent to you.
You may need to just get the reward card while at Disney.

I just got this $200 offer in the mail yesterday. Seems like a good deal. The only thing is we won't be going back until Feb of 2012 . Will the $200 still be good by then? I really didn't read any of the fine print on anything yet.

As a PP mentioned the points will be good till then, just do not transfer them to a reward card until you definitely need them.

DH and I already had Disney Visa cards, got this offer, both applied and were approved for 2 more!!!
