My guide just emailed me offering a $500 gift card as well as the $1600 off, and it isn't the time for us to buy since we've had a couple of setbacks!!

I am so disapointed, but hubby says he might think about it since we have until May 15 to accept.

Oh just do it,LOL. I swear it is the best thing we could have ever done. We are married and dont have any kids and we still Love going and it has been almost 2 years since DH went and he is like a kid right now so exicted about going back.
We will be staying at AKV for the first time and we just cant wait.

I would sign by the x right now but we need to clear some debt up first.

We could swing the finance payment right now with no problems at all, and continue to clear the leftover debt up with no issues as well, but I told him I would wait another 6 months to a year.

I've heard that you can get better incentives in the fall though and I think we'd rather have developer points.

THe only other thing holding us back is the fact that his job has a main office in Orlando, and if we wanted to we could transfer down there. I keep telling him if that happens we will just sell it, or use it to hilton head, vero beah or other vacations with it.

Don't rush the decision...especially if you don't have a Disney vacation planned right now. It would make sense to buy before your next visit--no reason to pay cash for yet another trip and THEN buy the DVC points. But if you aren't going to return for 6+ months, all you're doing is paying more out in dues.

There will always be promotional deals going on. And the best ones have been offered in the fall over the last three or four years. If you have the money to buy outright, consider resale.
