I have read on here that if you buy Saratoga Springs, you get the 2006 points "free" with the cost of MF.

I was just on the DVC member site and it mentions a $1600 incentive for purchase at SS.

Can anyone shed more light on these things? Can you get both? I seem to have only a few days to make up my mind about adding on before the price increases, and I highly doubt my guy is working this weekend. ;)

I am trying to decide between AKL and SS, and this is without the benefit of seeing either. Is that a bad idea??

For current members - these prices are reportedly good until June 4, 2007.

AKV = $101 pp - $8 incentive = $93 with minimum purchase of 100 pts.
SSR = $101 pp - $10 incentive = $91 with minimum purchase of 50 pts.

OKW = $92
HHI = $92 - $5 incentive = $87 with minimum purchase of 50 pts.
VB = $92 - $5 incentive = $87 with minimum purchase of 50 pts.
BWV = $95
VWL = $95
BCV = $95

For new purchases (minimum purchase of 160 pts.)

AKV = $104 - $8 incentive = $96
SSR = $104 - $10 incentive = $94

OKW, HH and VB = $92
BWV = $98
VWL = $98
BCV = $101

Anyone purchasing SSR at this time will get "current" points. If you have a Use Year beginning in June, August, September, October or December you will get 2006 points. Those with February, March or April Use Years will get 2007 points with a purchase. Regardless which Use Year you have, annual fees will be based on when you purchase as they are prorated for the current year. In addition to receiving current points, you can also get the incentive indicated on the member's website. AKV buyers won't get 2006 points, but will recieve appropriate points based on their Use Year and when their unit opens.

If you are already a member and want to purchase before the price increase, be sure to call DVC (1-800-800-9100) and let the sales staff know - even if your own guide is not available when you call. If this would be a new purchase, the price increase has already been in effect for a couple of months and no further increase has been announced yet.

Enjoy! :)

Thanks for the quick reply.

Do you mean that with AK you get the points even though you can't use them until later? But you pay for them right away?

I am sorry to sound dense, but I am trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can.

The AKV points can't be used until your unit opens - probably sometime this summer. The maintenance fees would be based on that opening date.

I'm sure someone who has purchased AKV can respond with exact information about their closing/maintenance fees/unit opening date. That should make it more clear.
