Was in the TA today to try and sort out prices for next July and Virgin start taking bookings Glasgow to Orlando on Thursday of this week.

It was to dear for us, worked out an extra £1800, in total for 6 of us for premair class compaired to MY Travel Premair so we stuck with MY Travel , felt it was just to much to justify.

just thought I would let you know incase anyone is interested

Hiya, Thanks.

Originally we were in the same situation of yourself, and the price differences between virgin compared to my travel/direct holidays was really big, even in non peak seasons.

I know , just felt we wanted / needed the extra leg room not so much anything else so couldn't jutify paying that much extra (MY Travel was including the Premair Class) . That and the other deciding thing was we have a DS and felt with the wheelchair etc Sanford was an easier option, (for us anyway) to get in and out of.

was a bit disappointed as we would have liked to have tried them

We are in a similar situation, but that would also be a huge price difference for us which I don't think I can justify. It makes you wonder how they will compete. Thanks for that info.

Ali I bet the price wasn't as dear as that if you flew from Manchester! We've always found it really crazy that we can fly cheaper from England during Scottish school holidays than flying from home & we're not just talking about a few pence !
SD :firefight

poor TA thought she had got a bargain as it originally came in at the same price as MY Travel but she wondered why although she punched in Premair it wasn't showing when she went on to the next stage so she phoned them and they said that the prices shown were all for economy (even thought it had premair beside the costing) until the flights opened tomorrow then the premair would be added on :confused3 imagine if she hadn't phoned to double check  she gave her the cost of what the premair was going to be and that was the extra £1800. To be honest if it wasn't for or DS economy would have suited us and we were happy with MY Travel before so as I said went for Premair with MY Travel for the same price as economy with virgin.

TA seems to think that because it is Vrgin they will sell no matter what the price.

we are flying with first choice, and ive just been out of curiosity to check price for virgin almost twice as much for exact same dates, etc!!

but as it is virgin they will probably sell sell sell.
