If you are requesting to join the FB group, you need to send me a PM on here with your full name, stateroom number and who is in your traveling party. If I do not hear from someone that way or through the messages on FB, their request gets denied. Several people have been requesting to join it lately just because they are getting ready for the cruise, but are not part of this group. There are also people who just want to contact someone who will be on the cruise so they can buy them the special merchandise. Both of those types of requests have been denied. It is a closed group for a reason and I am careful to respect everyone's privacy, so only letting participating DISers into that group.

Windermere, you aren't even on the crew list so I haven't received any information from you. Actually, I did a search and this is your first time posting to this thread.

Not a problem really. I don't think that it is unreasonable to request all of someone's information before they get access to everyone else's. Like I said, I have denied MANY requests to join over the past few weeks. I post there to make sure that it isn't someone who is traveling with an existing member. After three days and no one claims them, or I haven't received a PM, they are denied. I'm guessing that I'm not the only one who has received requests to purchase MV merchandise onboard for complete strangers?

Stairs are a standard mode of transportation for this family. Elevators take too long. I was surprised that the Cake Boss used the stairs. I thought they were going to lose that cake for sure.

We do that also, unless there is a reason for the elevator, like we walked by and it was there. Prob helped on our last cruise I lost a few pounds th trip. And it wasnt from a lack of eating.

The Cake Boss took the stairs because the cake didnt fit in the elevator. They pretty much didnt have a choice in the matter if its the same time Im thinking.

You are right, they did not have a choice. It amazed me, they were capable of carry it up the stairs without dropping it.

My gym has a piece of equipment called a Jacob's ladder. Talk about climbing stairs. By 3 minutes I'm toast.

If you wind up with an upgrade or change your cabin assignment on sailing day please let me know asap. Leave a message for me in my cabin, 7182 and I will post any changes on the dry erase board that will be on my door.

If you're bringing a DST (Disney Stuffed Thing) and you wish to add them on to your cabin occupants, let me know. There are already a few of us that have added their DST's. But since they are so special to us they have no deadline to be added on I'm sure there are a few people who would get a kick out of finding a creative FE gift for a DST.

Just to be clear there is no expectation to give any DST an FE gift. Just an option fo those who like to get a little silly and creative.

Im kind of surprised by that, that someone at either DCL or in his shop didnt think to ask, how to get it from point a to point b. I thought they usually get some info on size restrictions, but then again, I have seen where they just barely fit through a door before, or didnt fit at all.

I think mine has the same thing. Looks like a stair climber, but motorized and you can set the speeds and resistance.

Elizabeth, color me jealous! I'll finish up the FE gifts by mid March probably. My FE is handmade but I made it 2 years ago and I have zero desire to figure out how the sewing machine works again I am toying with the idea of getting new suitcases No idea what I'm gonna wear during the cruise and will probably pack the night before we leave Hmmm a list is a good idea. Perhaps I should make one

Once my son goes back to university in another week, I will start getting everything laid out. After losing 16 lbs., I am not sure what is still going to fit. Today, I decided to try on an old pair of jeans in a smaller size, and they fit great. Ugh, what if my summer clothes do not fit? Guess it could be worse, I could be going up in sizes.

Nice - very nice...Mine has Pooh and now I added Sulley to one pocket - maybe I should just make my own. Right...when will that be? Between FE gifts for 5 cruises, working 2 full time jobs, trying to get the day organized for the first time a DCL ship comes into NYC, and making special gifts for long time friends I am sailing with? not gonna happen

Thanks to everyone who joined in on the weight loss goal for March 31. I believe it was Tracy who posted the original challenge, and I took it up on Dec27. I am 2 lbs. away from the March 31 goal, and 45lbs away from my November cruise goal. It has been a lot of hard work at the gym and tracking all the food going into the mouth, but it is working. I may not be ready to scale a mountain, but I have more confidence to do a zip line. Hope everyone else is getting themselves to a healthier you.
