Hi! Two weeks until WDW vacation and we are pumped! A fellow DISer just returned from WDW and sent us brouchures and sent my kids a post card from WDW! THANKS SHERRY!

With WDW vacation so close, we are doing little things to prepare ourselves ~ getting into the Disney Mood ~ although I am DISNEYFIED all the time! Here are a few things we do:

(1) Our dining room and kitchen are beside each other and our computer is in the kitchen close to the dining room so when we are chatting Disney at dinner, we pop in our Disney Vacation Planning CD Rom and listen and watch!

(2) We'll make Disney recipes! For a change, tonight I made Cinderella's Royal Table Cream Cheese French Toast (I ate way tooooooooo many!). I like making the Disney Choc Chip cookies too!

(3) Since we are taking dd out of school for this trip, we got together with dd's teacher today and planned a video project that dd will do for the class! We will write and say an introduction of Disney World to the class. Since we are staying at CSR, we will chat on the video about the Mayan Pyramid and Mexico for a little geography and history! I printed up a list of animals that can be found at AK (from wdwig.com) and dd will check off the animals as we see them. The week dd is out of school is "Education Week" at her school, it's a BIG "Reading is Fun Week." dd's teacher said dd's marks are great, especially in reading, so it's the best week for her to miss ~ all review, nothing new. Parent / Teacher conferences week as well ~ since I volunteer at school, I get little weekly conferences LOL! I am looking more forward to this project than dd! The teacher is looking forward to the video too!

What do you do to GET IN THE MOOOOOOOOOD!!!!! Sandra

where did you get the recipe for Cinderella's french toast??? that stuff is to die for & I would love the recipe if you have it.

Thanks!!!

Oh, to answer your question, we do the following to get ready:
1. Watch vacation planning video
2. Look at an online photos we can get
3. Go through our old photos of prior trips
4. Talk about Disney constantly at dinner when kids begin to fight & act up...even if trip is 8 monts away...a little Disney always seems to put a smile on everyones face

We watch Disney videos, read Disney stories, surf the Disney website, play Disney music, pack all of our Disney themed clothes, look at pictures from our previous trips, make Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes...have a magical trip.

We do a Disney Countdown Calender. We are taking DN on a special trip and I printed up several calender pages and each time he comes over, he marks off the days till Disney.

oh goodness ... have I missed something? Is the Disney Vacation Planning CD-Rom the same as the video? You've got me wondering about that! We will be going after you (SandraC) and I can't wait either! I'm spending so much time planning, I just wonder what I will forget! We made Mickey pancakes this weekend and we are watching the Sing- A-Long Videos.

23 days and counting!

You'll have a great time. Those recipes sound great, I'd love to have a copy of them-do you mind sharing?? Thanks. Kathy
