Ate at Akershus, but Princesses had not made it to us yet. 8:45 I left to get in line, and left the kids with the other adults in my party, and about 10 people in front of me. The masses of people have not showed up yet, and it's 8:55. Any questions I'll answer ASAP. :)

The first runners just got here.

Thanks for the info! We are leaving 4/3 and have an 8 am Akershus ADR for 4/4! So excited! Bummer you didn't get to see the princesses, BUT sounds like you won't have to stand in a 5 hour line!!!

Have fun on your trip! :)

What time was your ADR for Akershus? Do you think the people ahead of you were also at the Akershus breakfast? What time does the Anna, Elsa meet and greet begin? Thanks so much!!:goodvibes

We are doing the same on Sat! Can you let me know your wait time as 10th in line. Thx.

Thanks for the update. How long is the wait for the runners?

WDWFAN based on your ticker I wanted to make sure that you know they will be at MK by the time you are there. I will be at Boardwalk in late June and was looking forward to trying to get a jump on the line on our EMH morning. I think I am one of the few that were disappointed with the move.

Thank you GoofyMB. :) After I posted this question, I also started a post and received the same info. I'm glad to be set straight and know what to do for planning purposes. :goodvibes

My ADR was 8:10. They let the breakfast ADR's in the main gate around 7:50. we headed straight to Norway. Got into Akershus & at the table around 8:15. Food was served right away & we were done eating by around 8:30. I waited until 8:45 & the princesses hadn't gotten to us (except Belle when we came in) so I went to get in the Frozen line. The kids got to see Cinderella, Ariel & Aurora between 8:45 & 9:00. They didn't get to see Snow White because I called & told them the Frozen line started right at 9:00. The runners were only about 5 people behind me so they were done probably by 9:30. When we came out the line didnt look terribly long but I didn't ask the wait time.

There were 2 Dads that went straight to the Frozen line instead of breakfast, but that was all I saw before we went in.

Anna & Elsa were great with the kids! The boys had Olaf shirts on & the girls told them Olaf hides in the pretty flowers. :). They spent a lot of time with them.

I will come back on later tonight if anyone else has questions. :)

Thanks! We have an 8 a.m. breakfast ADR on Saturday (I can't wait!) and are hoping to have a similar experience. Although it stinks that the princesses didn't all make it around before you had to leave. This is the one part of our vacation that has stressed me out the most.

One popped open this morning so I snagged it.

Is it realistic to even eat with an 8:30 AM time slot or would you recommend just getting in line? What is the penalty for not showing up?

I wish they would have a to-go container and a cup of coffee ready for me.

You can get in the parks usually by about 7:40 with a morning ADR. You then would need to check in at the restaurant and you probably can get seated before your reservation time, but that depends on the people ahead of you and all. You realistically couldn't get seated at 8:30 and eat and leave and beat the rush since a lot of people are skipping eating and once the gates open for all at 9 then line will fill very quickly.

You will be charaged $10 PER PERSON for not showing up to your reservation. If the reservation is for 2, only two people can get in the gate early and you will be charged $20 if you don't show up to eat.

As long as someone in your party shows up for your reservation, though, you won't be charged a cancelation fee. So, someone can skip breakfast and wait in line while everyone else eats without a penalty.

We were there two weeks ago, and by 9:10, the line was 3 hours. The only people who got in the first group (and possibly the second) were those with Akershus ADR's. I think you'll have a long line if you get seated close to 8:30 and try to eat before getting in line.

I got a breakfast reservation for me and my son but the rest of my party will show up after the gates open.

$20 seems like a fair trade off to save 4 hours.

They are moving to MK soon. I think people can save the Akershus breakfasts and the long waits.

I think it's a toss up if the Princesses will get to you in enough time. They didn't open the main gate until 7:50, and there were a bunch of people ahead of us in that line. I would guess they had later than our 8:10 ADR. We did get seated as soon as we checked in at Akershus, but there were already a lot of people seated before us. The Princessses started in the other room & just hadn't made it to us before I wanted to leave at 8:45. But all but Snow White did between 8:45-9:00.

The complete opposite happened yesterday when we went to Hollywood & Vine. We had a 8:00 ADR, the characters started coming to the table immediately & we were done with them & done eating by 8:40.

So, it all just depends.
