Last summer we were at a potluck/picnic & there was a dish there called butterscotch "salad", although it was much more of a dessert. My youngest DD loved it & since were having a party to celebrate after her 1st communion this weekend, I would like to make it. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a recipe. I know it had butterscotch pudding, toffee bits & mini marshmallows in it, but don't know what else or the portions of ingredients. Does anyone here have such a recipe? Thanks in advance!

I found this one when I did a Google search. Does it sound about right?

Sorry to be so late to reply! Thanks Figment, but no, that wasn't it--the recipe I was looking for did not have apples, pineapple, or nuts, but that recipe sounds very good! I just played around with a recipe I had for pistachio salad & change the ingredients to fit the butterscotch salad & it came out great. Thanks again!

Lisa ~ If you get a chance, could you post your revised recipe? Please

Okay,

Let me see if I can remember it off the top of my head:

Butterscotch "Salad"

2 packages butterscotch Instant pudding
3 1/2 cups milk

Mix together & let set up for 10-15 minutes, then fold in 1-12 oz tub Cool Whip, 1 cup mini marshmallows, and 1/2-1 cup toffee chips (available in the baking aisle by the chocolate chips). Let chill at least 2 hours before serving.

Enjoy!

That sounds so good! I love butterscotch pudding, but I never remember to make it. Thanks. I hope I can find the toffee chips. I've never seen them before.

Okay,

I looked closer at the package last night when I went home & they are actually called Heath Toffee Bits. I got them at the Super WalMart right next to the chocolate chips. I hope you are all able to find them.

I just made a second batch this morning to bring to a putluck here at work today. My DD's yesterday polished off the last of the bowl I made for the 1st Communion party.

Enjoy!
