In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

On the plus side, I lost another 2-1/2 inches - mostly from my hips and abdomen (halleluia!) so I am calling the week a victory.

Yay! Definitely a Victory :cool1:

Now I have to tell Jeff that in addition to my Summer Husband (who he knows and is friends with) that I have a running boyfriend.

Hold the phones! I wasn't here last Summer, please tell me more about your seasonal Husband :lmao:
I assume this Summer Husband is one that you play Summer Sports with? Or am I so wrong?! :rotfl:

I am so busy this week! Ive been out for dinner with the girls from work - team bonding apparently! Im doing nothing tomorrow night, Thursday I am babysitting my fabulous niece, Friday is girls night out, Saturday is date night with DH, Sunday is my birthday and we are going to my brothers for a BBQ, Monday we are going to the Cricket - England V Australia...The Ashes! This is such a big deal, I can't believe we got tickets!

I am still on track with the water, tracking, exercise has been *ok*, not great but I am getting in around 30mins per day.

Somehow I think I totally missed that we were doing a challenge, or maybe I forgot?? Anyhow, put me down for:

Running 4X
Core/XT 2X
Water
Weight-Under 175 by 9/1

I think you were on your Vermont trip at the time....

Seasonal Husbandry. :rotfl2: If you put that on a resume, would you list that under "hobbies/interests" or "temporary assignments" :confused3

Wowza you're a busy gal these days! Good job keeping on track with all that!:thumbsup2

Just back from a shopping trip for college *stuff*. For a kid who can't take a whole lot, I sure seem to be spending a butt-load of money

Took the kids to the club, where the boys (that's the cabana boys) were goofing around with me and giving me the royal treatment. I had no idea why. But they were making fools of themselves falling all over the place to attend to me. Getting drinks, fixing my umbrella, all sorts of craziness. It was fun and funny, but I had no idea what was going on.

Finally, after about an hour I went up to the bar to see what was going on. Turns out Dan (my summer husband) had promised them all rounds of drinks if they could get me smiling and laughing (I had a bad week-end and totally collapsed on Dan). So that was the deal. It was fun, though.

I love this!

I hope everybody is hanging in there today.

I had an extremely eventful afternoon starting in a call from my mom. Our vet's office called her trying to get in touch with me. So I call them thinking I screwed up and forgot an appointment. That wasn't the case at all. The animal shelter in a town nearly an hour away called them about a dog that was found. They traced the tags back to me. We lost a very sweet dog about 5 years ago and it was his tags. I called the shelter and he was a black and white beagle mix. Same as Hero. I raced from work to Vincennes and find out that this sweet dog was not him. Not by a long shot. I had huge doubt because he would be so old now, but the tags were his from 2003. I wanted to be bringing him back home, even if we just had a little time left together. He was best buds with my son and it would have meant the world to Ryan.

I really wanted to be able to share a different story here tonight.

Amiee - so sorry about your puppy. That had to be heartwrenching.

It is quiet around here tonight. Hope everyone is doing all right.

Not much going on here. Worked out with Jesse. We have finished endurance training and moved onto strength training. Can I just say that 35 pound dumbbells are heavy!

Have a good night everyone...

squats, lunges and bent over rows... the lunges were by far the hardest!

:worship::worship::worship:

I would cry. Seriously. Tomorrow, when you have to pee...OMG you are going to be cursing that Jesse something awful! :scared1:

35 lb dumbells for lunges. The man is just cruel I tell you

Thanks for the dog sympathy. I was really emotionally all over the place (would have given anything for it to have been him). I love bigger dogs and so does Ryan, but we have Sophie and she is the princess. The shelter is convinced that unknown doggy will find a home. It's a no kill shelter and they have foster families too. One of these days, I will have a home with a large fenced in yard.

Paula ~ 35lbs with lunges. Jesse is so mean!

Amiee. Sighing. So sighing.

Erika - Jean is in the city Friday and Sunday at some point. She would love to drop off your jungle juice to you - if you want it for your iron - yes I'm being pushy with the stuff. :lmao: And I would love that if she was able to meet you and the kids and the husband numero uno  for a few minutes. But even if that is too much for you - she can simply drop off the carao juice with the front desk.

E ~ here is my challenge info:

Exercise - 2 60+ min sessions, & 3-45 min sessions
Water ~ through the roof

Also, officially re-started C25K yesterday.

Lisa--my bad. Not this week-end. Next week-end. I will e-mail you once I have specifics.

So. My workout partner may have Lyme disease :sad2: She doesn't have the results back yet...but should any time now.

And. I started the day by getting a "hay sliver" under my fingernail :headache:

off to a good start, eh?

OKay so first off I realized I ddin't give you my challenge results....but really....nothing to report. Last week was a baaaaaaaad one for me. BUT back on track this week after good spanking from one of my many motivators!!!

As promised (but late) the Caillou cake! Caillou is a show about a little boy and his family that my best friend's daughter, Mackenzie LOVES.

Cathie - did you make Caillou? He looks like he was sculpted out of fondant...

and red. I absolutely hate red icing :rotfl: such a miserable color! That's one that we typically end up buying rather than making ourselves! We've never had good success....always ends up needing so much colorant to get the right "red" that it makes the icing taste funny :headache: and black. Same thing. Hate black icing too....:lmao: love me some white. And pastels :upsidedow

I did make the Caillou figure out of fondant. Love sculpting with fondant, it's like adult play doh!!! He was a little difficult since it's a 2d cartoon so not much depth to go off of in a picture.

I used to hate the flavor of red also, until I found a bake shop here in Denver, and they sell tasteless food coloring. It's a gel water based coloring, so not like the drops you buy at the grocery store, but made specifically for baking. It has NO taste to it whatsoever. I love it!!!!!

I am dying to do a pretty pastel cake. I am making some fake cakes (styrofoam iced and wrapped in fondnat) for a flea market I am doing this weekend to promote my business. Just to have some displays since I can't put much of a cake book together since alot of my cake pictures were on the sd card my brother stole and erased.:headache: (I'll get over it one day, promise!) So that's what I'm working on tonight through Friday. The best part about it is that I can use store bought frosting and not have to make any!!!! :woohoo: Less mess, fuss, and moolah!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day so far!

Thanks for the sympathy. I am feeling pretty good tomorrow, but it is usually day two when the pain sets in so we shall see. Jesse is cruel at times, but he pushes me so I guess that is ok.

Cathie - the cake looks great!

Amiee - I am with you on the someday I'll have a house and a yard.

Nancy - hope your friend is ok and responds well to the treatment if she does get the diagnosis.

Hi everyone else... it is crazy at work this week so no time for a proper post. Thinking of you all and will chime in later tonight once I get home.

Paula
