In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

LisaV--so excited for your birthday trip! :cool1: I think it is AWESOME that you are just going to hang at BWV. LOVE that. Jeff and I just had this exact conversation, how we want to do a resort-only trip and see how we like it.

Another question (just call me the Cutie :lmao:)...are you and Jean staying together right now while you are in limbo? Or are you crashing at different places? And I am sorry that your dad was insensitive about you not having a condo right now. He has great legs, sure, but maybe not always great common sense, eh? :lmao:

BTW, did you catch the pics of my girls in Canada during our Epcot day? That was for you! :rotfl: And YES, Kelly is SUCH a ham. OMG, I have that child trained! The second she sees a camera come out, she poses! So funny!

LisaPR
--sounds like Shelby had one helluva game! :cool1: And I know exactly what you mean about how she stands out from the other girls. Cam's team is like that. All of the girls playing are there for fun and social reasons, etc. And then there is this one girl, Cassie, who is serious as heck and that girl can PLAY. Such an obvious difference. Cam is the youngest on the team this year, so she is happy to hang back a bit, but I can see her getting serious about it in another year or two.

LisaZ
--like Lyz said in an earlier post, seems like you are around a lot more these days. Not sure what the reason is, but I sure am glad to see you here and I feel like I am getting to know you better! :goodvibes

Roddy - its about freakin time you saw Star Trek. Now we just need to get Amy back from the woods of Florida and we can take control of the board... Resistance is futile...

LisaV - thanks for the words of encouragement and for clearing up the whole baseketball team thing. At least now, I know what team to listen for during the sports reports. As for me not wanting to show myself off, I do and I don't. I have no problem with people noticing me and my new body and I really don't care who sees it because I am damn proud of what I have accomplished so far. I do have a problem advertising it in the form of before and after pics at the gym. What I am doing is about me and not about publicity. Plus - I really don't want people to remember the old me. I hope that makes sense.

Erika - loved the trip report and am sad that it is over...

This girl is off to bed... I am meeting a friend for breakfast and then to see Jesse for my beat down. I am tired just thinking about that.

Catch you all on the flip side.

I'm here! Kids woke up extra early and didn't wake me. Yes folks, I got to sleep in until 8:30.

Trip Report – Day 8, Going Home

Sadness! It is always hard when vacation comes to an end. SUCH a let down.

:sad1:It IS sad.

As good as the service was on DCL, they don’t mess around when it comes to getting you off the ship. While all of the CMs are certainly polite, they are no longer chatty. It is all business. Whatever it takes to get you off that ship as soon as possible.

We scheduled a wake-up call for 6:30. Didn’t get out of bed till 7. This was my mistake. I read through the information on de-embarkation and I noticed 3 seating times for breakfast. The latest one was at 8:15am, so I opted for that one, knowing we would need the extra time in the morning. Oops. Apparently, those 3 seating times weren’t optional. One of them was our scheduled time. And it was at some ungodly hour like 7am. Right, like I am going to have 5 people up, dressed, staterooms emptied out by 7am. Just not gonna happen.

Anyway, we managed to get everyone up and out by about 7:50. I am thinking that we are doing great. We had a couple of day packs with us (toiletries and jammies from the night before, etc.), but we are fairly streamlined and ready to go. The kids are tired, but not grumpy, so that is a plus.

So we head to Triton's, as that as our assigned restaurant. Our head waiter greets us, by name, yet he gives us a puzzled look. After a short conversation, we realize our mistake. He tell us to wait a bit and he will get a table for us. I feel like a bit of an idiot, but oh well, what are you gonna do? I use the wait to go print boarding passes. This was WAY WAY WAY harder than it needed to be. Certainly, this is one area that is sorely lacking on DCL. I know that most people don’t plan to do a lot of internet surfing while on a cruise, but really, the internet service is horrific—especially considering the astronomical prices that you have to pay to use it. (We didn’t really care about cost as Jeff just expensed it. He actually did do a lot of work while on board, so his company will pay all internet fees.)

We get seated and it is all business, business, business. Again, CMs are friendly, but they are running like MAD. You can tell that they must have a ton to do in order to turn the ship around and get ready for a whole new set of passengers who will be boarding in about 4 hours.

The “farewell breakfast” is definitely a different menu from the one we had enjoyed all week. Very scaled down. Only 2 courses instead of 4 with limited choices. Again, it is all “thanks for sailing with us, good-bye.” I will say, though, that we didn’t feel rushed. They refilled Jeff’s coffee and such.

Glad they took care of you. We ate the buffet everyday, I really feel like I missed out by not eating breakfast at Tritons. I need to go back!

Finally, the time had come to leave the ship. Sad!

DisneyCruiseMay2009015-5.jpg

Getting off the ship was a breeze. They really do have it down to a science. We showed our passports, declared our purchases at Customs, and were good to go. We went down to the luggage retrieval room at the terminal, fully expecting it to be a chaotic nightmare. I mean, they have luggage for like 2500 people down there! A super friendly CM/porter asks us what our stateroom number was and leads us right to our luggage. Impressive! It is all right there and waiting for us. Took less than a minute.

That luggage room is IMPRESSIVE, no? Did you buy Rum?

Once he sees how much crap we have, he offers to take it out to the car for us. Um, yes please. Again, a few dollars of tipping is SO SO SO worth it. I tipped for baggage handling at (1) curbside check-in, (2) bell services when we arrived at BCV; (3) Bell services when leaving BCV; (4) porter service when arriving at the cruise terminal; (5) porter service leaving the cruise terminal; and (6) curbside check in at the airport going home. Worth every. Single. Penny.

Again, Jeff has to engineer the luggage into the car. I vow to never again pack so much stuff. We are off and on our way back to BCV.

Now, one thing that I always, always do on our Disney trips is to book an afternoon flight home. This gets us home around 5-ish, which is plenty of time to get home, get laundry going, wind down, and get everyone in bed at a decent hour. BUT, it also allows us to have a final few hours of vacation. One thing I absolutely hate is to have to be out of the hotel at something like 6 or 7 am in order to catch a morning flight. It just seems like such a waste. My plan is to sleep in (a bit anyway), take our time getting out of the resort, and then be able to have one little bit of magic before we head home. My first choice is to do a character meal. When you have young kids, it doesn’t get much more magical than character meals. And it somehow makes it so much easier to head to the airport. You get to hug Mickey one last time before leaving.

If a character meal doesn’t work out time-wise, then I like to head to DTD to do our souvenier shopping. Let me tell you, DTD first thing in the morning is awesome. It is totally empty. As in NO ONE is there but you and the CMs in each store. I have some great pictures for previous trips. Also, since our kids pin trade, this is a great time to be in DTD. Pretty much all of the CMs in DTD pin trade. But it is next to impossible to trade with them since the stores are always mobbed in the afternoon and evening. So again, this makes for a really nice last-bit-of-magic. Kids get to do all of the pin trading they want PLUS buy their souveniers.

A final last-morning-option is pool time. This can be a bit more cumbersome, however. You have to leave all of the bathing suits out of the luggage, and then have some sort of plastic bag to put the wet suits in afterward, as you will have to pack the wet suits into one of your bags.

For this trip, I had reservations for 2 different character meals or thought we would shop at DTD, whichever best fit our moods/needs.

Ok, so we pull into BCV and our first order of business is to drop our Owners’ Locker with Bell Services. Let me tell you, I love having an Owners’ Locker! Makes traveling to Disney so easy! Once it is dropped off, we all head into the resort to use the facilities, give Art one last hug, and so Jeff can get a coffee at the Marketplace.

Did you keep your room at BCV while you were gone? Or just have them hold your owners locker and need to put contents back in then ship? I've been wondering this.

DisneyMasy2009Day2001.jpg

We had a fun little moment here. As we were walking in, there were several CMs out front welcoming guests home (LOVE that about DVC). They asked me if we were just checking in. I explained that actually we had just gotten off the cruise. The kids were already up ahead of me and heading to the bathrooms. Anyway, on our way back out of the lobby, one of the CMs said to the kids, “Welcome back from the cruise! Mickey told me he had so much fun with you three!” Since they hadn’t heard my earlier exchange with her, they were in awe! FUN!

So this is the point where Jeff turns BACK into the American Traveler from Hell. Honestly, I don’t know why this next part surprised me—I should be used to it by now. Every trip it is something. Usually when we first land. Now, when we land, I am all about getting to property as fast as humanly possible. I just want to GET THERE, you know? But a few years ago, when we landed Jeff decided that he needed a new watch.

“You mean like you want some kind of Disney watch and we should shop for one in the parks or at DTD?”
“No, I mean a regular, everyday watch for like work and stuff. Let’s stop at the mall on the way to the resort.”

OMG! Ok, I go along. Not worth an argument as we are going to be here for several days.

Then 2 years ago it was,

“I need new sunglasses.”
“Ok, I’m sure that every gift shop has a bunch of cheap sunglasses and you can just pick up a pair that will be fine for banging around the parks.”
“No. I mean I want to go to Sunglass Hut and get a new pair of really good sunglasses.”

So yet again, we hit the Florida Mall on the way from the airport to the resort.

(On a completely snarky note, Jeff can totally SEE the Portland Mall from his office. Yes, his office is within spitting distance to the mall. Which has a Sunglass Hut. And lots of shoe stores. Why flying on an airplane activates his shopping gene I will never know.)

I already mentioned that he needed to stop for Crocs on the way to the Cruise. Well, now on our last morning, our last bit of vacation, he said,

“You know, I am leaving for Asia right when we get home and I really need a new briefcase before I leave. This is the only time I am going to have, so let’s head to the mall so I can find a briefcase.”

No, I am totally NOT kidding!

OK! I think this is fairly normal. Like take a fellow out of his normal routine and he is easily distracted. And in the mood to spend. On himself. :rotfl: Hi Lar Ious. You might as well start building time into your schedule for this.

To be fair, he had been saying for the past month that he needed a new briefcase. I even bought one for him a few weeks before the trip, but it wasn’t the right kind. I honestly thought he would just use his same on and would look for a new one in Asia where leather is a lot cheaper.

So, instead of a character meal, instead of shopping in DTD, instead of swimming in Storm-A-long-Bay, we went to the mall. That is how we used our last few hours of vacation. So much for leaving with an extra bit of magic.

I will say, at least, that the Florida Mall is awesome. It is a really high end mall. HUGE and has all of the good stores that you want to browse through. Of course, we weren’t interested in any of those. We were doing the oh-so-exciting task of looking for a briefcase. With 3 kids in tow.

Fortunately, we found exactly what he was looking for at the first store. The right thing for the the right price. Awesome, let’s pay for it and be on our way.

Upon entering the mall, I noticed that there was an M&M World. I remembered Nancy talking about how awesome the one in NYC is. (There are only 3 in the world—NYC, Vegas, and Orlando.) Since getting the briefcase didn’t take long, we had some extra time, so I insisted on visiting M&M World. I mean, if I couldn’t have my last minute magic, I sure as well was going to get some chocolate out of the deal, right?

MMWorld4.jpg

MMWorld3.jpg

That place is actually AMAZING. Really fun! They have huge vats of M&Ms in every color imaginable. I mean, you can’t buy most of these colors in regular stores. Sure, there are traditional M&Ms and then they come out with special colors for Christmas and Easter and so on. But here they have EVERYTHING. As in 14 different shades of just BLUE. And it is like that for every color.

MMWorld1.jpg

MMWorld2.jpg

We let each kid get a bag in fun colors for the plane. Then it was back to car and on our way to the airport. *Sigh*

We went to M&M in NYC too. Remember. I let the girls pick 2 colors each. We had pastel pink, pastel purple, pastel blue and cobolt blue. It was a little over 2 lbs of M&M's. Those little buggurs slide out quick when you pull the lever. Anyway, it rang up to $27! I gulped and asked, "how much per pound?" $11!!!! There were no signs stating that. Of course I bought them, but $30 for M&M's!!!!

We had different flights going home, of course, with the girls traveling with me and Riley with Jeff. But I was able to book it so that their flight left at 2pm and ours departed at 2:10. Perfect. Our plan was to do curbside check-in and then we would all go to lunch together before heading to our separate gates. The Orlando airport is pretty cool for stuff like this. They actually have *real* restaurants and even a whole mall inside the terminal.

Yes! Love the food area of MCO.
As we are driving in to the airport, we realize that our airlines are not in the same terminal. Crap! Southwest is Terminal A and United is Terminal B. So much for our nice, relaxing, sit-down lunch as a family.

First we did curbside check-in for us. Since we were flying Southwest, there is no charge for checked baggage as there is on most other airlines these days. So I was in charge of all of the luggage while Jeff and Riley had a carry-on each. Once the luggage was gone, we dropped the guys off at their terminal. Then the girls and I returned the rental car and headed into the airport.

Again, the girls proved to be amazing travelers, handling themselves through security like pros.

We had a fair amount of time before our flight, so we went to lunch just the three of us. Nothing special, but we found a little Italian place where they had pizza and I had a salad and some garlic breadsticks. While eating, a couple comes up to us and says, “Ma’am, are you following us?” Turns out it was Stacey (from the podcast boards) and her husband. They were with another podcaster and her daughter (but I didn’t remember her name and of course, no one was wearing their lanyard nametags anymore!) We were all actually on the same flight, so we all headed to the gate together.

As soon as we reach the gate, we see that our flight has been delayed! CRAP! Fortunately, it seems to be minor—only 20-30 minutes.

The girls and I settle in to wait. Since this is the first down time I have had in days, I decide to make some phone calls. Who is my very first call? LYZ, of course! I couldn’t wait to tell her everything about the podcast crew! I knew she would be dying to know everything. I talk at her a mile a minute until Kel is too demanding to let me talk any longer. I didn’t even come close to telling her everything I wanted to.

Finally it is time to board. Phew! Not bad at all. Stacey and her family are right across the aisle, so we chat a bit and she filled me in on the podcast events that she attended that we didn’t. They did *all* of the events. But they also only have one daughter who is in high school and thus was independent on the ship (and an amazing kid, btw. She listens to the podcast religiously and was FAR more personable than Stacey, who was definitely socially awkward).

DisneyMay2009-Day1006.jpg

Our flight had a touch-down in Baltimore. We didn’t have to change planes, but people got off and others got on before heading home. We usually don’t have a problem getting a direct flight, but this one was MUCH cheaper, and it only lengthened our travel time by like half an hour so it was worth it. Stacey and the other un-named podcaster got off in Baltimore while we continued onward to the New Hampshire airport.

We landed in 50* temps and POURING rain. We were told it had been cold and rainy all week! YES! Love that! We were basking in the sun, thank you very much.

This was actually the part of the trip I was most stressed about…somehow getting all of that luggage and getting out to the car in long term parking with two little girls. Our luggage was FIRST off the plane. That was a huge stroke of luck. We had 4 checked pieces of luggage. I took two (plus had a backpack which was my carry-on) and the girls each had one piece and a messenger bag (that were their carry-ons, containing their iPods and coloring books, and reading books, etc.). Again, they were excellent travelers. They grabbed their own suitcases off the turnstile and we headed out into the rain.

My plan was to leave the luggage at the curb and go get the car, then come back and pick up the luggage and load it into the car. (This is a TINY airport, so this is not at all unsafe or weird.) However, there happened to be a security guy right there and he said we couldn’t leave our bags. I explained my situation, gestured to the girls noting that there was no way they could wheel their bags all the way to the parking lot. He radioed the shuttle, which was about 50 yards up the curb. The driver reversed it all the way to us, loaded our bags into the shuttle and we were on our way to the parking lot. Seeing that I was a “damsel in distress” and had the girls with me, he drove me right to my car and unloaded our luggage! AWESOME! I threw the luggage in the back and we were on our way. Home.

The end.

Ahhhh! What a great trip!!!! So glad you got to go. Remember all the phone conversations we had about the possibility of NOT going? The stars aligned for this one. Fo shizzle!!!

LisaV--

Another question (just call me the Cutie :lmao:)...are you and Jean staying together right now while you are in limbo? Or are you crashing at different places?

Yeah, yeah! Tell us.

BTW, did you catch the pics of my girls in Canada during our Epcot day? That was for you! :rotfl: And YES, Kelly is SUCH a ham. OMG, I have that child trained! The second she sees a camera come out, she poses! So funny!

Do you see how she even stands like you. One leg cocked out. You totally cannot deny your girls. They are you!

I do have a problem advertising it in the form of before and after pics at the gym. What I am doing is about me and not about publicity. Plus - I really don't want people to remember the old me. I hope that makes sense.

Paula! Yes. Didn't make the connection. If you get a pic with Jessie he will want to use it. You may have said this, but I am an idiot. I TOTALLY would not do that either.

AND AND I am with you on not wanting people to rember who I was. I want to have always been healthy.

LisaZ and Paula - Thanks for saying you would have been hard pressed for keeping a straight face as well. :) A 13 year old boy with a cape laced, condom toting, super hero just screams laughter.

Dawn - As I have the sense of humour of a 13 year old boy, I found Captain Condom hilarious! :rotfl:
'Up to your parents room' 1) Who says that! and 2) Ewwww! :rotfl:

And I definitely agree, put Baylor in Bubble Wrap, surrounded by Cotton Wool in a nice little box and keep him there! :lmao:

Right there with ya, Nancy. Only I am drinking rum and coke tonight. :thumbsup2

Mmmm, Rum and Coke :lovestruc That is my tipple for Monday - Its the BIGGEST game of the season for my football team - the play-off final. It is a game worth £80m if we win!
Im going to my brothers house to watch it and we are having a BBQ with Mojitos and Havana rum!

I haven't been around much this weekend - I haven't been busy just lazy! Im reading Michael J Fox's 'Lucky Man' - I cannot put it down! Michael J Fox was my first big crush when I was younger, I wanted to be his girlfriend in Back to the Future! My parents found this hysterical, not because I had a crush but because Im probably a good 6 inches taller than him :rotfl:

Oh, and I have some questions. Not about anything in particular, they have just popped into my head:

1) What is 'the store that cannot be named' :confused3

2) What is 'tailgating' - In the UK tailgating is driving much too close to someone, and it usually leads to Road Rage :scared1: I assume this is not the same thing :confused3

3) I recently bought a bag of Reeses Pieces (yes, they are sold in one shop near here - well, about half an hour away :rotfl:). They are just like smarties but instead of being filled with chocolate they are filled with peanut butter. How did I not know this! So my question is, which genius invented them, because I would like to shake their hand :lmao:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I know there is much to catch up on so I will try to do this now!

Thanks for getting it Lyz. It is a little quirk of mine, but it is mine and I totally own it.

That would be Wal-Mart

tailgating is the term used for the parties that happen in the parking lots around the stadiums of sports teams. They are prior to the game and usually are quite the feasts. Tailgate is used because the feast is set out on the back of the car.

3) I recently bought a bag of Reeses Pieces (yes, they are sold in one shop near here - well, about half an hour away :rotfl:). these are truly the food of the gods. I can't buy them as I have no self control.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I know there is much to catch up on so I will try to do this now!

Erika - I was up and out at 8:15 this morning. Met a friend for breakfast (oatmeal, fruit and a scrambled egg), worked out with Jesse (who is really sick) and am now chatting with a potential guy in my life...

See I have had a busy morning. Not sure what the afternoon will hold yet other than some biking and maybe hitting some golf balls.

What is everyone up to this weekend?

I'm shopping and planning for our vacation. Time is not on my side at all. Yikes!

Taylor is set because she is so easy to shop for. Ryan is about 3/4 of the way there (the boy will not try on clothes unless I threaten him, lol). I am far from being finished. Struck out on shoes so far. I desperately need to get some bras (only have 2 that fit right). I'm not getting enough to take care of the entire vacation, but I need a few more. My plan is to wash them out with a little woolite and then let them air dry. Oy!

Now, I am taking a breather from shopping. Well, really only to recharge my MP3 player. It keeps away those nagging kiosk workers who try to hock dead sea face potions.

Um, Paula? Guy in your life? You didn't think I would let that slip by, did you? Details. Like now, mkay?

No, I didn't think that would slip by... you all are way to sharp for that. Not much to report really. Just chatting at this point. The conversations are going well, but I get the impression that he is looking for something more casual and I'm not. We are looking to possibly meet in person next week. Not sure if it will go anywhere, but who knows. Can't blame a girl for trying.

Amiee - happy shopping and trip prepping...

I didn't realize you were leaving in 3 weeks! Whoot whoot! Yes, don't enjoy the pushy kiosk sales. My hands are plenty soft thankyouveramuch.

Yeah, I have my earbuds in a lot when shopping. I just don't want people thinking they need to try and talk to me. I'm in my own world.

3 weeks! Aimee! So exciting. Please post your entire itinerary for our viewing pleasure. :goodvibes

Paula--ok, I'll be patient. But not very.

It is unGodly early (well, for most of us, LisaPR has already put in a full day! :lmao:) and I am on my way up to camp with the kids. I am simultaneously excited and overwhelmed. I am cleaning, furnishing, and decorating the entire place in 2 days. Alone. I love decorating and usually find it fun. But due to time constraints and not having anyone else to do the heavy lifting, I am stressed. I called a cleaning service on Tuesday to have them come in and do everything so at least I have a clean house to start and can get right to loading in the furniture. But I have no idea if they have been there or not. So I have no idea what I am walking into. And if I have to do all of the cleaning first, I am going to cry, I tell ya.

Bringing my laptop, so I will chime in throughout the day. Especially if I end up procrastinating because there is too much to do.

M&M World :yay: It is amazing, isn't it! Your TR was awe.some. Just loved it.

That is my tipple for Monday

Tipple  that's an awesome word

2) What is 'tailgating' - In the UK tailgating is driving much too close to someone, and it usually leads to Road Rage :scared1: I assume this is not the same thing :confused3

We also use "tailgating" that way - but it also means Kat was picnicking in the parking lot, like Paula said.

Um, Paula? Guy in your life? You didn't think I would let that slip by, did you? Details. Like now, mkay?

I know! What WAS THAT? :confused3 She tried all slick and sly to just slide that in there.

Paula - :goodvibes

Lyz - how are the hogs? and flies? Did you get any flies?

Dawn - did you walk the other night?

I have totally over-done it in the food and alcohol department this weekend :scared: And it's only Sunday morning of a 3 day weekend  Definitely going to need a detox day on Tuesday ;)

Good morning...

Not much to report on the guy front. Don't think much is going to come of that at this point, but we'll see. Just not getting a good vibe from this guy at the moment.

Got up this morning and finally went for a long bike ride. I did 5-1/2 miles in about 40 minutes. I took my time since it was my first time on this trail and there were people around (I had been sticking to short rides in abandoned parking lots and such to get my bike legs back and get comfortable with the bike). OMG - I am totally loving the trail. It follows the river and the route of what was the Erie Canal so there are old locks along the way. My resting point was about 2-1/2 miles in at a working lock on the river. The fisherman were out and it was just so peaceful. Of course, I also was introduced to something else today - HILLS!!!! They are just plain evil. Need to work on the whole gear thing next. I find that to be very foreign at this point. I feel pretty good (very grateful for having the padded bike shorts) and want to start building my distance as I have to get to the ten mile mark for the MS Bike event in July. I am on my way...

After breakfast with my sister and my neighbors, I am off to a friend's house for her annual picnic. I plan on sticking to the vegetable salad and one burger so that I don't eat my way through the picnic. I love seeing everyone, but why does there have to be so much food??? Ugh...

I'll check in later. Have a great day everyone!!!

Good Morning All!

Long day ahead, but wanted to pop in to say hello. Not really many things on the plate today, but two fun and one very involved thing. First up, I am heading to the coffee shop to support my friend (it's her 2nd Sunday being opened). She has tons of great plans for the shop. She wants to turn it into a coffee shop/cafe (made to order omelets, eggs florentine etc). She already has a great shop, but I think this will really help her make a mark.

Next up, it visiting the cemetaries. Does anybody else do that? Am I just strange? It's a tradition for us and meant the world to my grandma (even visiting my great great grandparents graves). She taught me at a very young age where everybody was. My dad is buried in a small family cemetary about 45 mins from here, so that is where we will start.

Finally, I will share the trip intinerary. I swear, teaching my mom and aunt about Disney has been a trip in itself. They don't share my enthusiasum, but they at least know what World Shocase is.

OK... Paula, Amy, LisaV... I just got back from seeing Star Trek as promised. And to give the board an example of my dedication to completing my task I would like for you to know that during the completion of said task of seeing Star Trek as I promised this week, I probably infected at least 75 people with the flu. That is because I have had said flu this week. So, in case, this outbreak of "Rod-fluenza" is traced back to be, it will indeed be Paula and Amy's fault. :goodvibes

Oh, Liz, I almost gave in, but I resisted what little of the intoxicating aroma of movie theater popcorn I could smell and didn't eat any, at all. ;)

I absolutely ADORED the new Star Trek. OMG. FANGIRL!!!

I'm impressed you walked by my lover. :thumbsup2 Nicely done.

Paula! Yes. Didn't make the connection. If you get a pic with Jessie he will want to use it. You may have said this, but I am an idiot. I TOTALLY would not do that either.

AND AND I am with you on not wanting people to rember who I was. I want to have always been healthy.

Ah. I got slammed for this on the very first incarnation of this thread, but I disagree here. I'm proud of how far I've come. I want people to look at those pictures and say "Wow". I was a beautiful girl then, but I look better now. I want to see the transformation, and I welcome the comments on it. Honestly, not celebrating my success and the radical difference in my body has led to where I am now, 20lbs up from my low point. I deferred a lot of the accolades, and that didn't do anyone, least of all me, any favors.

I say, own the past and be proud of the present. Even if you're not perfect, or at goal, or "done". We're never done, in this life. So why do we expect that of ourselves? Ever?

May 27 or June 2?

And I would phone and just letting them know you are following up. What is there to lose?

Close June 3

Oh Lord - how I love a rum and coke. God darn flippin' rosacea. I do have one on the BW. I love the BW.

Mmm had me two shots of "the DOCTOR" and then a corona and three smirinoffs! and then fell asleep in the sun! Every once and a while I would here everyone say Steph is really sleeping and I would surprise them by saying no I am NOT!
So We went to Zac's friends house and watched the parade... it was sooooo short! I was waiting for more to come around the bend and everyone was packing up. THen we walked back to the house and here I am now sittng here on this sunny day. Heading for a BBQ now. My poor Mom is sick. Sat in the house all weekend! Have to go visit her tonight or tomorrow. Just a cold or allergies but she still feels crappy.
Haave a reat weekend.

Paula a man..:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
Ok boys are spraying the house down with hose! Need to RUN!

Just saying HI from the camp. It is weird being up here without Jeff. But the place is really starting to take shape, so that is fun. But I am working my a$$ off!

Oh, and I hate my MIL, but I'll talk about that at a different time.

PAULA! WOO HOO on your first ride! Awesome! And 5.5 miles is a GREAT first ride! SUPER proud of you! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I am SO hating IKEA right now. OMG, my hands! I have such blisters. I cannot even count the number of screws I have put in. So far, I have put together 4 nights stands, 2 bed frames, a desk, 4 lamps, and hung 4 sets of curtains. 2 bookshelves left to go plus putting up the bathroom towel racks, etc. Ouch. I have also laid 4 carpets and hung up all of the art work, mirrors, etc. (Just area rugs, not wall-to-wall, thank goodness).

On the positive side, things are looking awesome! So happy with the results so far.

I can't believe you are allowed to hang that stuff. Are you using a level?

Paula - 5.5 miles is awesome for your first ride!!! You'll totally rock that July race.

Liz - I remember that.
