In Search of my Body...Not The One I Ate.. #4 "Inspiring Others... 1 Tiara at a Time"

Back from my beating and yes, it was just that. We started with core and I thought I was going to die. Oh - I am doing pushups off the floor!!!! Still doing them with my knees down, but it is progress right. One of Jesse's former clients was stretching out next to us and OMG she looked amazing. After she left, Jesse was like - don't worry - I can get you there and proceeded to tell me about all the things he wants to do with me, but needs another month or so for me to get stronger. Now he could just be stringing me along so that I'll resign, but I don't think so. Either way - I am in this for as long as my bank account will let me. Then I will have to do it on my own.

Challenge goals...

Lose ten pounds
Work out 3x week with trainer and cardio 2x week
Stay on plan during Odyssey of the Mind tournaments (that marathon starts in mid Feb and runs through March)

What is everyone else going to do?

Paula

LIZ

just needed to tell you - I LOVE CAKE. :cake: Apparently I always have, just wasn't aware if it before!

that's all I needed to say right now. :flower3:

#7 Why are you here/joining us...what do you hope to gain...or what have you gained....(not weight if that's the case! ) I need help. I started WW with a friend from work and did great the first week. Then on our first weigh in was cancelled due to weather, so I din't track the 2nd week, my frined stopped going due to family medical problems, so I just didn't go. I am going to go back this Thursday and Jen is going with me. But I need back up. I need someone to talk to with something goes wrong.

I actually re joined Disboards last January just to join this group. Promptly got sick and stopped the diet I was on and never posted again.

I started lurking in November and am blown away by love and support. I have already learned alot! Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi Sunny! Welcome!

Wow. That IS easy. There needs to be a national ease level set. An ad campaign. "So Easy - Nancy the Goat Farmer Can Do It" :rotfl2:

OMG I love it!

Thanks, but I must admit, I still am way behind the 8 ball regarding my corporate taxes and will disappear soon. I'm just going to have to Power DIS like last night to stay caught up.

I think you need some of this. pixiedust: Hope it doesn't stress you too much!

EriKa - my february goals are to live day by day and lose 5lbs. (Gotta get rid of my exercise requirements - it makes me avoid it - then I panic, get bummed out and stop trying. I don't like being bossed around.)

Lyz, I think this is a great goal.

Oh I have so been where you are now (for like the past ten years with my friend Tom). Of course for something to actually happing, one of you needs to take a step forward. Of course, I have been scared to death of doing that (like for the past ten years). Good luck... Sending pixie dust your way that something happens...pixiedust:

Thanks Paula! Taking the first step is daunting. I have a huge fear of rejection.

Pixie dust back to you too for your situation. pixiedust:

Hi All

SOrry i was MIA for a few days, i'm battling a nasty ear infection right now.... haven't really slept at all and the hour or so i did sleep i was unconciously clawing at my ear (had some pretty scratch marks on the side of my face when i woke up) I used to get them all the time when i was little, but i haven't had one in years, an this is a doozy.... I'm hoping it starts to let up soon, generally the pain only lasts 24-72 hours, so, here's hoping :sad1:

E - i was down another pound this week so that brings my total for the month of January to -8.5 lbs, so i made the weight part of my challenge... the 5x per week excercise i need to work on. My February goal is to lose another 7 lbs and track my food on WW everyday (i have been tracking, may not always be pretty! but i have tracked)

Ok, i'll catch up later, have to get some things accomplished before i collapse and fall asleep....

Yep! Read them all and have seen the movie. LOVED them! Thought about starting over this week when we were without power from the ice storm, but Jen has it.

Guess I need to have her bring it over tomorrow. She and her dog and moving back in until they have power. She may not have it back for a couple of weeks and her friends house is getting a little small.

Oh how fun! We have added another member to the fan club!

Sunny!! Welcome! :cheer2:

We are a crazy bunch here but have a lot of fun.

Lyz, good to see you back. Holy posting batman!!

E, of course no hangover. Don't be ridiculous. And no food hangovers either because E (Cullen) does NOT eat junk!!

Liz, hope you are having fun in CT. :wave2:

Amiee, hope that the mechanic thing works out for you. He sounds like a nice guy.

Paula, you kick booty. Well, Jesse might be kicking yours right about now...

Sorry for the mega set of goals. It really isn't as much as it seems, the water is easy, and the exercise is mandatory since I have already paid for the tournament. I am not setting a weight loss goal since I am not going to weigh this month.

Today is the day that I whip the house back in shape after being gone all week. Anyone want to come do all my laundry? :confused3

Hi Kat! Thank you. He really is sweet. I'm just scared.

How was your trip??

For Kelly, who disco'd her way down!

I LOVE it! You do not want to know how long it took to get it into my signature! :crazy2: :rotfl:

I brought Single White Vampire home from work today to read again this weekend.

Is this a book? The title made me laugh out loud for some reason! :rotfl2:

WELCOME! :cheer2: Great goals as well :)

You MIL - whew, what a pill! I'm glad your husband heard her directly and you are taking the high road! Speaks volumns. And well, you talking to her about the wedding, is totally normal. Most moms who have kiddos getting married want to talk your ears off about plans. She was just being fecicious.

I thought it was normal too! Im very glad DH heard for himself. Ive not told him any of the nasty snipes shes made in the past because at the end of the day, its his mum and I want them to have a fab relationship, but when he hears for himself theres not a lot I can do about that. Taking the high road, I like it :grouphug:

Sounds like rice cakes.

Yes, Rice Cakes! Thats what I was trying to think of but I couldn't think of the name of them for the life of me! :rotfl2: With them being flavoured they are much more satisfying that rice cakes!

Kelly - so sorry about the MIL... She just doesn't get it, but it sounds like your hubby is starting to. :grouphug:

:grouphug: Thanks.

Nope. I've not been bitten at all. But don't we have a lot of Twilght fans?

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes. Don't know I why I've waited for so long.

I think my goals need to be simple. Just WW meetings, tracking and water.

I love Twilight! :cool1:

As far as the challenge goes, I have no idea yet. I will have to think about it tonight and report back.

Kudos to you on your pushups.

Hey All..

:welcome: Sunny!

My Feb. Goals:

1. Exercise: C25K 3X/week. 1 Long run per/week in prep for 1/2 marathon on March 1st. Pilates or Shred 2X week.

2. Weight: Another 5 pounds!

3. Track calories 3 days a week. I am not going to try and change too much up. I just want to see where I am at with what I normally eat.

4. No alcohol. EXCEPT: Valentines, and Another girls night out, date TBD.

Can I just say that I am SO SO demotivated for my long runs. Ugh. I probably should not have signed up for another half at this point. Anyhow, I have a 4 miler scheduled for tomorrow. I'll do it even if I hate it.

Just curious...what is shred?

I am sure the biggest hurdle was just starting the first race. You have one under your belt, there is no doubt in my mind that you can do another one. Remember what you said you would do differently? Perfect timing to put your plans in motion.

Oh, I have a tip that might help! Hold a hair dryer a few inches away from your neck below your ear ---don't let the air blow in your ear---(low setting!), the warm air will ease the discomfort. I swear! After I do this, I put a cotton ball in my ear too.

Is this a book? The title made me laugh out loud for some reason! :rotfl2:

Yes, it's a book by Lynsay Sands. It's book 2 of the Argeneau series. It's vampire romance. I love her books (and it is funny!). I almost fell out of my chair at Barnes & Noble when I read part of it. Some of her other books are A Quick Bite, Love Bites, Bite Me if You Can, and Tall, Dark & Hungry. Love them. Read the entire 10 book series in less than 2 months. Think Twighlight for adults.

Congrats to all of the challenge winners!

I like the sound of those books, I think a trip to Waterstones book store is in order - or Amazon!

Oh absolutely! A Quick Bite is the first one and they do not have to be read in exact order, but I am OCD about that.

Oh me too! Ive just checked them out on Waterstones website, they are very reasonably priced so I think im going to order them, Im ready for new books to read! :cool1:

Just want you all to know, that I did it. All by myself. :cool1:

(aren't you proud of me :rotfl: )

Nancy, I have sigs and pictures turned off to make phone browsing easier, and it took me some time to figure out what you were talking about!
