We have never taken the time to really enjoy Disney dining on past trips since we have been mostly the 'commando' type. I am hoping to change that on our next trip and part of that is a quest for the best desserts.

DW likes chocolate desserts (brownie, cake) and I tend to like fruit desserts (pie, cobbler). My 3 DDs (1,4,6) like anything sweet.

Any suggestions? What's your personal favorite at WDW? Anything unusual?

I'm curious also...

We are usually too full to get dessert. I prefer key lime pie though and maybe our sons will like something so kiss the diet goodbye for a week!

Beaches and Cream has awesome ice cream sundaes, which DH can't stop talking about :-) He is making sure he gets his fair share on this upcoming trip! They offer sundaes, including brownies, which are great.

I am not familiar with pies and such at Disney - maybe someone can shed some light on that for us!

Sweet treats is something that we hunt for in Disney - always looking for something new.

Try a Dole Whip in Magic Kingdom - this could easily be a snack, and is really good!

There are Beaver Tails, Kaki Gori and Churros in Epcot.

And, as always, I am a sucker for a Mickey shaped Rice Krispy bar - gotta have it.

Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, may be a good stop for you in search of sweets as well - they have some yummy selections!

You mean like a chocolate Kilauea Torte?

You can find them all at the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and you can go and just order dessert. :)

for chocolate lovers everywhere -

you have to try the triple chocolate moose stampede cake at the whispering canyon cafe in the wilderness lodge. the ultimate chocolate cake. plus whispering canyon cafe is a fun place to eat.:D

For the chocolate lover I would suggest the Milk Chocolate Creme Brulee at Fulton's, and for the fruit lover I would suggest the Berry Cobbler at Artist Point. Two of the best desserts ever!

Do you have a photo of a Zebra Dome?

I LOVE...the Chocolate Wave at Coral Reef. It is a small chocolate bundt-like cake with a fudgy hot syrupy liquor in the center. It was served with a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top. Yum! I 'm getting hungry!

Sorry, I don't. But I'll take a pic of one next time we eat there. :)

The best dessert this chocoholic ever had at WDW was the Fudge Mud Slide Sundae at Beaches and Cream. I liked the No Way Jose too, but the Fudge Mud Slide is the best!

I have to second this one! I didn't like the Coral Reef too much at all.... UNTIL THE DESSERT! The "fudgy hot syrupy liquor" is scrumptous... definetly one of the best desserts I've had at WDW.

:p

Disneyoholic, try Fulton's Key lime pie. It's awesome. We plan to return, so I can have a piece.

My personal favs are:

The banana napolean at Flying Fish. Layers of light, flaky phillo dough with vanilla bean creme brulee, bananas and caramel.

The Cardamon Chocolate Purses at Jiko. Little bites of heaven. Cardamon is the spice they use in Chai.

The chocolate moose at Le Cellier. Its shaped like a Moose, rolled in chocolate cookie crumbs with maple cookies as antlers and raspberry sauce as the tounge.

The chocolate bread pudding at Artist Point. Omygod!

The Rice Creme with strawberry sauce at La Kringle Bakery in Norway.

The Tropocal creme brulee at Citricos. Yummy.

Chocolate Jack Daniels cake at Yachtsman Steakhouse.

If Flying Fish still has it...Lava Cake...the center ooooooozes chocolate!
Cora

The Boulangerie Patisserie in France! (bakery & pastry shop)
They have something for both of you here! Can't go wrong!!

Ghirardelli ice cream & chocolate in DD!

My personal favorite is the KoKo Puffs at the Kona Cafe -- a chocolate dream. And, for the kids, Kona's big waffle cone, standing upright, anchored to the plate with melted chocolate, filled with luscious ice cream and surrounded with blue cotton candy. If you want to see your three girls' eyes pop, order them that.

The berry cobbler at Artist Point and the grapefruit cake from Brown Derby have been my favorites! :)

Another vote for the berry cobbler at Artist Point. It's not what you are expecting, it's EVEN BETTER! I should be having some a week from Friday, woo-hoo!

Koko Puffs are great as well! YUM! Also, Ghirardelli has some excellent sundaes!

One word-Ghirardelli!!!

We love them-great, wonderful, marvelous....mmmmm milkshakes!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

There was a really yummy dessert at Concourse Steakhouse the last time I went. It was a hot fudge sundae with chocolate chip cookies on the bottom - kinda like a brownie sundae but with cookies. My brother and I each got one and he couldn't eat all his so I finished it lol.
