anyone any experience?

thanks again to all who reply

Unless They Are Offering It Free But I Think We Would Have Heard:rotfl: :rotfl: They Charge $10 A Day..In My Opinion It Should Come FREE...

I dont think it is even wireless, all info I have ever read never indicates wireless.
Its the main reason we stay off site. We go to Florida upto 60 days a year, I am not paying $600 a year just to use my laptop when chains like Marriott provide free wireless inroom access.
Its free at Disneyland CA. hotels why not WDW?

"Only one device can be plugged into the HSIA terminal at a time."

So $10/day and you can only have one laptop connected:scared1:
We have 2 laptops connected in marriott hotels free no problems. Its bad enough 3 of us sharing 2 laptops, if we had to share 1 there would be World war 3:rotfl2:

if your desperate to get online there are 2 options.
1 go to one of the convention resorts where they have terminals for you to use for a fee,if you want to access emails ect and dont want to lug along a laptop
2 use one of the terminals at disney quest if you are visiting it

We used our laptop at SSR in August and it was all very simple. It isn't wireless, but the cable is provided and you're automatically connected to the internet and the connection is fast. You pay in 24 hour chunks, so if you don't need it one day, there's no charge. $9.99 a day is nothing in my view. :confused3

I have to have connection every day for business, and also like to surf for an hour before bed every evening (keep up with Dis at least:rotfl2: ) Our August trip would have added another $250. Total for year $600, If you only access 2 or 3 times a stay then its not much but it can mount up to a lot.
I see it as bad business sense on Disney's part, I will not consider staying onsite while they charge, there are so many good places offsite with free wireless access, like I say its free at Disneyland, can't understand why they still charge at WDW. Obviously they believe they sell enough rooms the way they work now.

Ditto and that's precisely why I consider $9.99 a day is negligible.

I guess its one of them things some people don't mind paying for but others like me believe should be included as a service to encourage you to stay.
I only see it from my point of view when booking a room, If the rate was similar offsite to onsite the cost of internet would discourage me from booking the onsite hotel. I think Disney would increase their bookings if they included it in the rate. They would probably only need to add on $1 /night to every room to create the same revenue. Like I say they must not think they need to change the way they do it. Many people will pay extra to stay onsite, where I like to get away from Disney after the parks.
