In room gifts & Rainforest pass

Do you have to wait until a cruise is paid off, or after PIF date before ordering in room gifts and Rainforest pass or can you do it any time after booking a cruise? What if there's a cancellation of the cruise? Does the original person who placed the order have to call and request a cancellation of gifts and passes for a refund, or does it automatically cancel and refund? Or can anyone cancel it? Say I call DCL to order a Rainforest pass for a friend who is sailing and I'm not going with. Say that friend cancels her cruise, how is the cancellation and refund of the pass handled?

The gifts page doesn't seem to say anything about canceling, but they do have an email address you can use for questions dclgifts@disneycruise.com

Always easiest to call for these questions; you have to call anyhow to order. You give a credit card and it is billed at that time, so I am sure you'd just call again if the person cancels. Since you are booking it and paying for it, I would imagine you have to call to get your credit. Not sure if there's any fine print about cancellation. I purchased one too and it went right on my credit card.

You can order (and cancel) with your credit card before the cruise (until the last week I think) If the cruise is cancelled, you will get your money back.
