in room dining - family style

Hello,

It has been 3 years since our last visit to Aulani, and we are returning in January.

on both of our previous visits there was an option for in room dining - family style. We ordered a salmon dinner with potatoes, green beans, salad and dessert for 6. It had to be ordered a day ahead, and was delivered in family style bowls and platters. Is this still available?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but no, the family dinners are no longer available. We found out during our stay last year, and the CMs we spoke with were perplexed as to why those meals were cancelled as they were apparently quite popular (and certainly not inexpensive).

We were also disappointed on our visit in May this year (2017) that this option was no longer offered. We had hoped to do that on our arrival day since we would be traveling a long time (from FL) and would be tired by the time we got to our room. Hope they will reconsider this decision.

That is what I was afraid of, since I could find no mention of it. I will definitely let them know that the option is missed when we are there!!

Hi Mary. We’ll also be there in January 26- February 3. I plan on hitting Costco on arrival day to stock up. Cooking isn’t something I’m thrilled about and I’m thrilled even less about a huge costco run, but I want to have healthy options and with 5 of us (all adults). eating out every meal seems really expensive especially since we have a full kitchen. Will probably fill in a little here and there with a few meals out. This is our Christmas present for our family and I wanted to add in some extras like spa. I figure the $ I save on food are going towards the spa. Getting really excited! I made my spa appointments the other day. Our last appointment I made for check out day. We have a redeye home and thought it would be nice to have massages and spa time before the late night flight.
