In room coffee maker question

This may sound like a dumb question, but to anyone that has used the in-room coffee maker at the Poly, does it make that loud sucking/gurgling noise when it's done making coffee? The reason I ask is that I wake up very early, and walk around the resort, and make my way to Kona coffee bar, but would like to save a few bucks and make my own. However, my friend is not an early riser, and I don't want to wake her with that sound emanating from the coffee maker. I've used other coffee makers and some of them sound like their dying.

Hmmm... save a few bucks, or save a friendship? Hmmm... hard choice. :teeth:

I am a DVC member, and I suspect we generally get better equipment (coffee makers and refrigerators and such) in our full kitchens and mini-kitchens than the regular resorts provide in their hotel rooms, and yes they do gurgle and cough at the end of their cycles.

You might be okay brewing the coffee in the bathroom, with the door closed, though.

When we stayed at the Poly, the bathroom is where I put the coffee maker and brewed it from there so it would not wake up other family members.

I'm with Blondie on this one also. The coffee machine is noisy and I made the coffee in the bathroom.

What about getting a refillable mug and use that for coffee in the morning on your walk.

We just got back from the Polynesian and the coffee maker was already in the bathroom. I only made coffee once but don't remember if it made any loud noises or not.
