I was reading an article about Disney having in room childcare for kids under the age of 12. I was thinking that might be a good idea for me, because my DD doesn't really ride on the rides and I would love to ride the scary rides with my oldest DS if my DD could stay with a sitter and do fun things.

Has anyone ever used the in room childcare? Do you have any tips, stories, anything. TIA!!!

We used Kids Night Out for a date night and it was GREAT! My kids had a blast with the sitter. She arrived early and when we came home the girls were all fast asleep. She took them to dinner (charged to the room), to the playground, and to the fire and movie at our resort. I always rave about it because it was really great, and cheaper than Disney kids clubs for 3 kids. If you think your daughter would enjoy the Kids Club setting more, that's an option. It will probably be about the same cost for 1 kid.

I am looking up some info about the Kids Club. Do you know if you have to book in advance for in room childcare service?

Disney doesn't actually offer in-room childcare services. That is offered by outside organizations, the one I hear the most about is Kids Nite Out (as PP recommended). I would expect you have to schedule it in advance, but I don't know how far in advance. I suggest you check out their website (http://kidsniteout.com/sitter_services.html) and contact with any questions you might have.

WDW does offer group-setting childcare at a few of the resorts. It is advised to pre-book to guarantee a spot, with drop-ins accepted if they have space. (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/recreation/childrens-activity-centers/)

Enjoy your vacation!

I just did some research and I think I am going to do the Kids Club (SandCastle Club). I think my kiddos would have so much fun.

Thank for the advice and information.

Our kids did it twice during our last trip, they enjoyed it so much!
