Hi I am finally going to Disneyland again, it has been six years since my last visit. This visit will be extra special for my daughter and I as it is the first time we are staying on site and it is her 11th birthday and I have missed her last three birthdays due to working overseas. I have already arranged for a special dinner with a cake and now I am debating an in room celebration. Can anyone give personal experience if the birthday in room celebration is worth it or not?

Hello--and WELCOME to the Disboards!:)

I don't have personal experience with this, but I have read several reviews of those who were very pleased with this option/package and posted pics of the decor and gifts(sorry I can't link).

I don't remember anyone stating that they were unhappy with the end results.

Hopefully someone with firsthand experience will chime in!:thumbsup2

We got a balloon bouquet and a stuffed Mickey and Minnie last week instead of the celebration. The latex helium balloons were all deflated by the next day and the mylar Mickey was at about half height in two days. Not sure what happened there! They were cute, though, and the kids loved them.

I just returned from celebrating my birthday. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel. My parents surprised me with a balloon delivery in room. It was 5 latex balloons with Mickey or Minnie on them and 1 Mylar balloon with Mickey on it. Like the PP stated, the balloons were deflated by the next day. I don't know of the cost, so I can't really say if it was worth it.

Here are some pics from our Birthday Bash this summer...

The balloons stayed inflated 2 days, then the regular balloons lost some float, and by day 6, they were dead. (Mylar stayed good the entire trip.)

Thank you all for your input and the pics from the celebration look great. I think I am just going to do it. We only live once after all.
