I know that the In-Room Celebrations have been discussed on these boards before, but I have not seen any recent postings (please excuse me if there were and I just missed them for some reason ).

This Sunday DBF and I will be checking into the GCH to celebrate his birthday. I thought I would be fun and surprise him with some b-day gifts in the room.

Disney Vacation Planning emailed me their current offerings, as well as current prices.

She loved it. It came with a variety of milk and dark chocolate bars, pretzels, cookies, lollipops, etc. Thanks for posting the list!!

Yes, the descriptions are definitely vague. I do know that the birthday baskets do not have Mickey rice krispy treats, but they do have about 5 chocolate bars. The woman at Disney Vacation Planning told me that much at least. We don't eat marshmellows so I wanted to make sure if it included those, that I could switch it.

We did the CA Cooler Pack, it was a small soft sided cooler with a bunch of snacks and some water bottles. It wasn't as $$$ as it is on this list tho so hopefully you get a lot more snacks now.

i think if you really want to knock him off his toes.. just get a bottle of champagne of your own and chill it yourself in the fridge in the room and get some choclate covered strawberries ur self at marcelines confectory in dtd an Set the room up the way you like for him and surprise him with a romantice night just for you too an u wont be spending a arm and a leg!

OK - here are my thoughts:

The balloon bouquet with an added Mickey Mylar balloon was cute and worth the extra $$$. It was so fun to walk into the room and see those right away!

The actual Mickey Birthday basket...well, it was very cute but probably not worth the money. It came with Mickey happy birthday ears, 3 Mickey chocolate bars (milk chocolate, krispy, and dark chocolate), and a happy birthday picture frame (with photopass card). It was in a really cute tin and a festive tag that said Happy Birthday (his name).

When we got to the room around 3:30pm it was already in there so it was a really cute way to walk into the room. I am glad I tried it once, but I will be doing Funball's suggestion in the future and just bringing my own things in. I actually had meant to bring a bottle of wine from home, but forgot.
This is why I thought I would try this one time - laziness and curiosity. DBF loved it and thought it was a lot of fun so that's all that mattered.

My apologies for the lack of photo! It wasn't until we were watching WOC that night that I remembered I hadn't taken of photo!!! By that time, he had already taken everything out and I believe a chocolate bar was already in the belly.

What a terrible Diser. Ah, well...
