Hi all:)
We leave for the World in a little over a week. We have the regular dining plan and plan to have a quick breakfast in our room each morning. So far I have granola bars and cereal. I will bring some plastic bowls and spoons and buy milk at the resort. I also bought some all fruit snacks. That's about all I can think of, and we probably won't need much more, but I thought I'd ask and see if anyone else can share what they bring for a quick bite in the morning.
Thank you:)

WILL U HAVE A COFFEE MAKER? you could make oatmeal...that is very filling

Now there's an idea! I hadn't thought of that:goodvibes
I could buy the sugar reduced instant packets. I eat them a few times a week as it is and so do my kids.. and they won't take up much space in my luggage. Thanks!

Buy you milk in the gift store or shop that sells milk rather than at the food court. You can get a bigger bottle for a lot less $. It's usually at the back of the hotel gift shops if they have one depends on where you're staying.

We always bring bagels. The store also sells mini donuts and other type snacks.

I plan on extra luggage room to bring down breakfast and snack items, and use this space on the return trip souvenirs and the refillable mugs just purchased.

I like to freeze kid's OJ juice packs, and use them as a refrigerant to keep some stuff cold in the checked in luggage. I pack them in a small vinyl cooler, which is also good to bring down to the pool at the resort for snacks in the daytime.

I like freezing my favorite bakery bought bagels, and bring them in the checked in luggage, in zip locked poly bags. (Not Lender's Bagels)

In the cooler, our favorite cream cheese spreads, and favorite lower fat margarine spread. ham cold cuts, yogurts, and cheese and fruit snacks.

At the wholesale club store we buy precooked bacon, that needs no refrigeration until opened, and this takes up no room at all in the checked in luggage. I also bring a small pouch of pepperoni.

Like yourself we pack our favorite cereals, tea packets, coffee packets.

We buy at the resort Milk, Water, Eggs.
Eventually we buy a loaf of bread when the bagels are gone.
We buy a couple of other bakery snacks, and grab some of the "complimentary" jelly packets and ketchup packets.

We always have at least a mini refrigerator at a DVC Studio resort and a microwave coffee maker and toaster.

My partner is good at making microwave scrambled eggs.
Sometimes with bacon, pepperoni, ham and or cheese.

The bacon is really easy in the microwave, and tastes great to me !

Pop the bagels in the toaster.

Thaw the juice packs.

And we have a full breakfast with fruit or yogurt as well.

Other days it is just cereal, coffee, bagels or toast.

I admit I could not do this without the microwave, toaster, or mini fridge.

Have fun on your next trip !

we're headed to pop in a week!!! yeay!
and on the qsdp. so i've packing the standard cereal boxes. also pop tarts, granola bars and we'll pick up some pastries along the way.

i have this very strong memory of being a kid in disney or anywhere on vacation and we always had the mini cereal boxes. i think back then they opened in the front and you could use the whole box as a bowl. yummy

Each night when we returned from the parks we stopped by the resort food court on the way to our rooms, and picked up a few fresh baked goods for the morning.

Has anyone ever had groceries delivered via one of the online services? That's what I was thinking about doing for breakfast in the room. I'm not sure I want to begin packing food and bowls/utensils, etc. We like yogurt for breakfast and/or oatmeal, plus we'll need milk obviously.

WE have used Garden Grocers before, and will be using them again for next week :cool1: We got papertowels, fruit, and dairy products, it was so easy!

We bought a $9 toaster at Walmart ...IDK if you have a car or not. We then had bagels, toast, poptarts, etc. We left toaster in room for next person.

Great, thanks for your reply! That's who I was considering using after reading about them around the boards. :goodvibes

We also found on the DDP that with a bit of sharing on CS we had enough credits for breakfast many mornings. Share a large patter such as cosmic Ray for lunch and share one of the large breakfast platter in the am. Plenty of food.

I doubt disney would pass the toaster on lol just my thoughts. Once when we stayed in contemporary our coffee maker was broken and they said they had to wait for a replacement. We went to target and bought one for 10$ and then when we were leaving we drove to shades of green and gave it to front desk they just laughed when we told them why we had this coffee maker and thanked us and said yes it would get used in their rooms. Husband is a Vet. so it was natural for us to deliver it to shades of green vs trash it or leave it for housekeeping to take away.

Either way I do think its easy enough to join a fridge swap at a value. I've never stayed at a value but do see the benefit of having a fridge we always use the fridges in our room for fresh fruit, bottled water, fresh cream for coffee, OJ and sometimes other snacks. If you have little ones I could see having milk for cereal and other snacks. I don't get to fussy with breakfast sometimes we don't have breakfast I do feel dining plan with ts is alot of food. I've heard others say you can break off your dessert from your ts and qs meal and have it earlier or later though I don't know how you do that. But I'm sure asking around could get you some answers.

Thank you:)

bagels and peanut butter. You can take a pack of bagels in your carry on if nothing else.

I just did my shopping tonight for my trip in a couple days (we'll be there 14 days and staying DVC) and I am bringing:
2 packs bagels, 2 bags of cereal, 2 boxes granola bars, coffee, sugar, coffee filters, powdered creamer, milk boxes that don't need refridgeration, goldfish, micro popcorn, 4 microwave chef boyardees, plastic storage bags. I also purchased a couple of sets of Fozzils bowls for me and my girls to use so that I don't have to worry about plastic bowls or plates. They are cups, bowls, plates, spoons for backpackers that fold flat (we also do a lot of camping so they will be used outside of Disney too). I do still need to buy apples and grapes (I'll freeze them on Monday) and strawberries (also will freeze).
Since i'll be there so long I also purchased a package of Purex complete 3-in-1 detergent/fabric soften sheets. I never knew that they existed. I love that you use the same sheet in the washer and then also in the dryer!
When we get to the resort I'll grab milk and butter from the grocery section. Also I'll grab anything we run out of from the grocery if needed (although I think/hope I have enough except maybe coffee).

It's usually instant oatmeal, cereal, granola bars and last time at WDW I packed mini bagles and pb&j. Oh yeah, some bananas and apples. I also pack some cup-o-noodles. Not something we normally eat, but my kids like them and they are great for those late night hungries.
