Where are places toddler age kiddos can run around a bit and climb/play/splash nowadays in the parks? To burn off a bit of energy without being a worry to mom and dad - and in everyone’s way, lol!

Places like Pooh’s thotful spot, Honey I shrunk the kids, the Flower and Garden playground and even the Epcot splash pad were favorites for my kids at that age to let them “run free” a bit. They were helpful after lots of stroller time, to burn off energy! But two are closed and to my knowledge the Epcot ones are not open right? Is the Casey splash area open?

Friends are taking their toddlers next week (5 days, going to each park, one resort day) and now that my own kids are high school age, I am not sure where to direct them for a little In-Park toddler free play time - and with COVID impacts to the interactive elements I’m even less certain of options that are open.

What do you recommend for similar in-park experiences/opportunities now - chances for toddlers to run/play a bit during the day?

Is Tom Sawyers island a spot for this and if so is it worth the wait to get back to land (I hear it’s lonnnngggg)?

The splash/play zones are all still closed. The best that you can do is to find a bit of out of the way space to let them walk around a bit. I would not do Tom Sawyer Island. The pathways and terrain are not ideal for letting a toddler run around. It could get dangerous.

I have a 14 month old. Here are the spots we like to let him run around:

MK: hub grass, far end of Tomorrowland (by Carousel of Progress and the stage)

Epcot: China pavilion, gardens in Canada, between the World Showcase gift shops and the lagoon

DHS: near Launch Bay and the Disney Junior photo ops (not open right now)

AK: carnival area

Thank you! Appreciate this feedback but I have to say in thinking about this I got to say that Disney has to add some open play spaces themed for little kiddos again.

There is a thread on the Disney with Families group asking this same question yesterday with some good responses. I'm on my phone and can't link it correctly but it's on the first page.
