the sleepover girls are slowly emerging from the depths of the basement
this means they stayed up half the night and are tired

it is SNOWING, soft, fluffy flakes, BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

DH and DS are out hunting, the snow is probably making them happy
easier to track those elusive deer

cold to sit/stand around in, though...

they will need a nap and hot showers when they get home

DD13 and friends made ramen noodles and Kraft mac and cheese at 1 AM

amazingly, the kitchen was not a disaster this AM
DD13 is slowly learning to clean up after herself
or she had reminders from her friends to not make a mess
since she was lucky to have a sleepover....

Have any of you seen those hamster things, zhu zhu pets?
They were on the View
and they do look cute
motorized hamsters that have their own habitats and move around in it

you can't find them anywhere
I guess they are the seasons "tickle me elmo" or "cabbage patch doll"

I would have liked one for DD10, who wants a real hamster
but not a must have
guess there are lines and fights and insanity over this little toy!

I just signed up to do another "secret diner" thing
over CHristmas break......

remember my first one?
the manager comp'ed our whole meal
for moving to a different table
and the secret diner folks PAID me for the visit, too!

Made taco dip when we got home from church

yummy
double recipe
DS's girlfriend is here
and the DD's have been asking for it


1 package dry taco mix
1 brick cream cheese
1 16 ounce sour cream

Mix together.
spread in shallow dish (I use a round cookie plate)
top with taco toppings, shredded cheddar, diced tomato, lettuce, black olives

eat with tortilla chips

I did my christmas cards today!
I had ordered a picture to be our card (us getting splashed at typhoon lagoon)
then found this new sight "seehere"
and they were offering free cards, shipping only
so I made more!
Nice to make the whole card, no signing of names
but I usuallly just add a pic to a regular card
since they are pennies and cards usually cost a lot

Sunny but cold sunday happening here.
No rain or snow, though

Nice church service this morning with special music from a local college group.
Two shows tonight ends our musical theater production....it's gone very well. I need to visit the grocery store for some final "dinner" foods...we eat between shows, more packing of the "lunches", not one of my fav jobs!

Excellent ending to church performance tonight
the kids always get a little silly on the last show

the wassailers made a human pyramid with the soloist on top
then fell...
on purpose
got up and continued singing
