Hi All,

Don't shoot me but I'm more of a WDW officianado. However my family and I would love to see US/IOA again. We are heading to the world for Nov 2012, May2013 Oct2013....Out of the 3 which would be the least busy time to visit...

Daughter & I want to stay at HRH however hubby is less than thrilled at this thought and thinks we should stay elsewhere and do daily visits...

Haven't been to US/IOA since 2004 so I know there is much to do.

Help me plan to apease everyone.

Thanks Lisa

In order...I would say November, October and then May. Of course it depends when in those months you go. As long as you stay away from holidays and holiday weekends, you should be fine with any of those times. My favorite time to go to the parks...other than for HHN is November. The weather is nice and crowds are pretty low.

Thank You we were thinking of the 1st week in May..my daughter turns 21 and think it would be a fun change from what we are used to....want to stay onsite....do you think the extra hour in Harry Potter Wizard world is worth the expense?

how many nights for the trip?
will you be doing anything else besides visiting the darkside?

if you go during a slow period, staying offsite wouldn't be bad.
pick a hotel close to the parks and walk there.

if offsite, avoid the weekends.

like Metro stated, a lot depends on what days you plan to do this trip.

if you can swing it, staying on site is an adventure on its own.
there is a lot more you can do besides being in the parks.

Thank You for your answers....

We will also be heading to our original destination... I guess I was trying to decipher if there is a certain day during the week slower than others @ US/IOA....

We have stayed onsite before at HRH LOVED IT!!! However we bought DVC so our usual is to stay on WDW property. HRH has become so expensive since the last time we stayed there I think we paid 150 per night.....

But still want to hit both parks , thinking we could do it in 2 solid days?

Thoughts?

don't know the dates you want to go, only months were mentioned prior.

the dates are important in order to give you accurate info.

if you are staying dvc, then just do day trips on tue-wed-thur.
most times out of the year, those days of the week are safe and less crowds.

but, if you are going prior to a holiday period, you will see some crowds build later in the day.

off site: go to the parks early.
be there at the entrance 30 minutes prior if your goal is to do parry hotter.

like i said, depending on the dates would help me to help you.
and, it would be a lot easier telling you that you'll be able to do both parks in that time period.

most peeps can do the highlights of both parks in two days.
but you would have to give up some portions of the parks to do so and probably miss out on citywalk.

generally speaking:
November first week will be crowd free during the week.

May 2013 does have a lot of school groups during the week, mainly on fridays.
memorial weekend will be busy

Oct 2013 will be busy on weekends for the hard ticket event hhn.
first two weeks th,fre, sa, sun it is held.
mid to last week of oct, hhn on wed, th, fri, sa, su.

columbus day weekend is busy.

during the week will be fine depending on the dates.
