I know what Christy is saying is true.. first hand experience.. My Granny waited til I got home w/ the Great-Grandchildren (J & C)... we lived 2 hours away.... she waited for me and C & I were holding her hand when she passed 45 minutes after we arrived....I knew when she heard me, she knew it was okay..as I am the one who keeps our family grounded in the time of need.... my aunts to this day will tell you that... I'm the first to get to them and the last to leave them (even their own kids bail on them..)... So, he may be waiting to see his brother...

Holly prayers are still coming your way and I hope the brother arrives soon. May you all be held in our fathers hands as you all are suffering. Along with all of you my favorite poem has been repeated so many times in my head over this last week.

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.

This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.

The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

Hugs and prayers to you and your family. My husband lost a dear highschool friend of his to ALS two years ago. It's so hard for all involved. Let us know if you need anything. I may not be close by, but I can pray and I know how to use UPS next day shipping .

Thanks again everyone. His brother came today. So he has now seen the whole family. My sister and her son did leave for a bit today. He has a very good friend that sat with him and sent them out to shower and get something to eat. She said when they got back that brother was there. So maybe now he can let go.

My sister called this am and said he is now calling for mr Crockett.
So He is going straight up after work. I just talked to him and he said "why me?" and i said "probably because you two used to hang out and get into trouble!!!" my sister said he talks all night long about odd stuff he did in life. Like he was talking about the time we took my nephew to Disney when he was 3. He was talking about it like we did it yesterday. So maybe he is reliving his days. And that would be why he is calling for my husband.
