in line for Halloween Maze Green Start

Orange room seems to be working for me. It is slow getting to the 2nd room, but once you are in there, you are home free.

Thanks to you all for testing the rooms! I am at work, reading these posts and I realized that you poor folks were the guinea pigs to test it and by the time I get home from work and settled in, they will have worked out a bunch of the problems.

It is an unfortunate part of programming these days, thank you Bill Gates, to just throw stuff out there and let the users do the unit testing. Drives me bonkers. If I hear a programmer say, "It works in the Development environment" one more time, I'm going to explode.

I hope there is a special place in Hades for Mr. Gates!

Old saying from my early days in programming using punch cards and rotating drums:

If builders built buildings the way programmers write code, one woodpecker would knock out all of civilization.

That part of it hasn't changed a bit (or a byte for that matter)!

You couldn't have said it better! Victims of this new form of testing usually are flabbergasted when I tell them my much better than average ability to test software is an obsolete skill. :sad2:

Hi ruthie:) I was in the HM with you today waiting for Phineas. I tried to say "hello" but I couldn't get your name out.

there are 3 rooms. If you are in line for teh green it should go faster now that i have finished. I was in the second room clicking on the teleporter for all i was worth. CL_red was telling me to click on teleporter and i kept saying "I am". She giggled and said no grumpy click on the teleporter on the same line as you NOT the one at the end of the room. It is amazing how much faster it goes when you click in the right place. My apoligies to those in line behind me

Oh Grumpy! That is so priceless! :rotfl2: Thank you so much for sharing! :rotfl2:

I guess im glad I waited 'till tonight to do this. I got into orange no problem, the line moved fast and even with a few people not moving (why do people just leave their keyboard for long times without checking back?) everything went smootly! It seems they got the bugs out.

At the risk of jinxing myself, I've had great luck with the purple maze. :thumbsup2

I just got into the green maze. I was in 22nd at first, and quickly got in after about 30 seconds. At least there's no more disconnecting. ^^

Well, I can't jinx myself cause I am all done. I used purple only, for the ones I took through. NEVER had a wait for the second room, like the other colors did, and there were actually times when they didn't have any "maze" up at all, and just kept saying "click on the teleporter"!

(btw, no, I didn't do the purple cause I love the color, I had started with black and was in the entry way for over 20 minutes without being able to move, despite occassional others getting by me. But only about 1 in 10 players were managing to get through the first teleporter, and at that 20 minutes I had been there - even with staff in the room trying to help - they took the room down. Bad enough to have waited so long actually in the room, can't imagine those poor folks stuck back in the queue never knowing why they just dc'd!)

i think they might of fixed whatever was going on or everyone stopped doing it but i just did it 10 minutes before the end of the event and i went threw in less than 5 minutes.
