In light of the flu outbreaks....

I think ALL schools should take the time over school break to disenfect the schools. Do you think that could help reduce the outbreaks when kids get back?

Schools will be closed for the holidays at least a week, I don't think the flu virus can sustain itself outside the body for that long. What schools should be doing is disinfecting the classrooms now while schools are in session.

I'm not sure the school break is gonna help. Part of the reason it starts to spread so rapidly is when people start to travel (I think the flu *exploded* after Thanksgiving) and when people start to spend more time indoors. I think the Christmas holiday season will just start another round of traveling, visiting, co-mingling, etc., all indoors.

I just keep hoping it is an early peak, and these levels will not be sustained. The country is usually saturated in Feb. Perhaps this year it will be in Dec., and by Feb., it will just about gone.....

There was a story on the news rthis week about a MN school that closed for l day and they showed video of the janitors disinfecting the desks, doors, etc, br, etc.

I agree that they should be disinfecting the schools while they are in session.

I was just saying that on another thread about the flu.

It certainly cannot hurt at all.
