In defense of Stacey, the in-room TV propaganda girl!

Wow... she's so pretty in her head shots... when her mouth is not screaming at us!!

I have a love - hate relationship with Stacey. I think she's so annoying, yet I can't stop watching that channel!!!

And don't forget this quote:

"Summmmmit.... PLLLLLLummmit"!

Oh and you have to do the handmotion with it.

Anyway I like the Girl on the Spanish verison better even though I dont understand anything.

i'm not a huge fan of stacey. i liked the blonde girl who did the top 7 before her. i can't remember her name, but it was back when the number one thing to do was mission space. so that would have been around 2004.

I agree. We also liked her so much better. There is a difference between being enthuastic and being over the top.

I too am addicted to the Top 7 show and I leave it on continuously when in the room (much to my DW's dismay ). But there is one line that makes me cringe every time and it is when she is on the Rock n' Rollercoaster. When she starts with the "In the name of all that rocks..." it makes me ill. Other than that, I wish I could get a copy of the show to help get through the down times between WDW trips.

It is funny that you put that. For a change, we put the Spanish version on last time. I would hear a lot of words I didn't understand and then in perfect English she would say words like Splash Mountain and Magic Kingdom. It was entertaining.

DS17 calls her "Spanish speaking Disney chick." We love watching her, which drives DD18 nuts. Which makes DS17 want to watch it even more.

When we're having a hard time getting DD18 out of bed at Disney, we just turn on the TV and put on "Spanish speaking Disney chick"--she's up in seconds.

My DS2 had seen that show on a loop so much during our last WDW trip that when she got to the Epcot part he said,"Yummy! Yummy! Yummy" right along with her. It was priceless. It doesn't feel like we are at WDW until we turn that "propaganda" on.

It's a long story, but I have an autographed headshot from Stacey. I would totally buy the top 7 on DVD if possible. I love her crazy enthusiasm. I mean, come on--we're Disney fans, people! This is how other people see US:insanely peppy! Who are we to judge???

I don't know why I like turning it on...I guess it makes me feel like "yup, now we're really at WDW!" I keep Stacey's spiel, the DVC spiel, or some other Disney program on as background "noise" while I'm getting ready in the morning.

This thread is funny and soooo true! We keep that loop on as background noise in our resort rooms. The gal who did this before Stacey looked like her older sister. We also like to watch the old "LAMBERT" cartoon in the resort rooms when we tire of the countdowns. Laaaaaambbbbert! Laaaaambbbbert!

I also have the love/hate thing with her as well. We try to never watch tv when on vacation ,unless it is about where we arestaying. When I put on Stacey I feel right in the vacation mode! I also like watching the old cartoons as we take a nap. I like the kids on the dvd planning video, I wish they had a channel at wdw!

I wonder what she's like in person!

She's really nice. We met her last year in World Showcase during our August trip. I was standing next to her and didn't know it. My wife said, "I think that's Stacey" and I replied " Who the hell is Stacey?". She told me that she was the woman from the annoying(my words) loop in the room. Anyway, she asked her if she was who we thought she was, she said yes, we said nice to meet you and left her alone.
P.S. That loop got of my last nerve until I met her. Now it doesn't bother me at all. I'm from New Orleans, but Julie is a little annoying to me at times. Most New Orleanians don't sound like that.

Same here! She's actually on the TVs off-site as well. We were at the Radisson Hotel Celebration this March and she was on a channel on loop as well. One morning everyone was getting ready while I got sucked in and I ended up making us miss opening at the parks because I was so engrossed. I just can't stop watching even though I am annoyed!
