In case you were wondering about Security...

My husband has been to Disneyland with us many times. He has seen their security over the years. Because of the level of security, he has no reservations letting me take the grandkids for a week in the parks. He knows we'll be safe there.

It was a bad situation and I feel Disney handled it well. Thanks Disney!

As far as TLSnell1981 wondering if the person was possibly a diabetic... A responsible diabetic knows or should know how to correct the situation. My husband is a diabetic and he carries candies in case his blood sugar drops.

Not to be argumentative, but, speaking from experience, not all "responsible" diabetics know when we start going low. In my case, I have a HUGE mood swing, and start getting agitated and yelling within moments of hitting the low 60s... and then I'm trying to figure out what's happening as I'm going lower. It's not always a very clear-cut feeling when you are going low. I've been having hypoglycemic episodes for 12+ years now, and I *still* can't always get it figured out before I've screamed at someone for something really minor.

Not that I think the man in the discussion was going hypoglycemic. Just saying that I generally consider myself a pretty "responsible" diabetic, and, when going hypoglycemic, some people go fast and go hard, and it's difficult to "catch" it when you can't reason it out because you are already low.

These girls are HILARIOUS!!!!!

Sophia Grace and Rosie are ADORABLE!

When you are adorable young sisters, some cool things can happen in your world if Ellen Degeneres falls in love with you. I hope they had endless cotton candy at the Park!

Off topic...but did anyone see any reason why that security guard should have REPEATEDLY kept spraying that guy when he was just standing still??? Seriously, I would have probably finally punched that guard, too! Perhaps they are trained to do that, or maybe the guard was just sort of nervous and not really trying to be a control-freak-jerk...but all I could think of was, "Why doesn't he STOP?" Looked like a bad situation all the way around.

I think the guard seemed freaked out and probably did not know what to do. he was an older gentleman and you could see his hand shaking. Even with training I bet things are different in the real situation.

On the other hand the people taping were total attention getters. I think they drew alot more attention to the situation than it would have gotten.

Agreed.

And I'm sure you are correct - that things are different in the real situation. It just seemed like such a pathetic situation. While watching though, I just couldn't help but wish that the guard would just STOP spraying that guy, since he was only standing still. Granted, I have no idea what happened before it began to be videotaped...he may have been perfectly justified in what he did.

It's a shame somebody didn't shove a churro in that screaming woman's mouth to shut.her.up.

Yeah, I didn't understand that woman. If I had kids, I would have pulled them away immediately, not stayed there and shouted that there were kids there.

Wait wait wait wait....Let me get this straight. If I yell annoyingly and without any real purpose...people might shove free churros in my mouth? SOLD!

:rotfl: She annoyed me also. She seemed a little...drunkish too ;)

I'm glad I wasn't the only one wondering why the guard sprayed him again when he was standing there wiping his eyes. I'd probably start swinging too if that happened.

Maybe the guard was afraid he would come after someone when his eyes were wiped clean. Either way it wasn't pretty and it certainly wasn't a good scenario with the crowd... and that lady yelling.

I, FOR ONE, wish the guard would have sprayed the LOAD MOUTH WOMAN a couple times. Then arrested her, maybe spending a couple hours in intake holding cell with some other load mouth people, she would keep her MOUTH shut. :cool1:

He was taking pics at the beginning of the video..I doubt he was security :confused3!

He is. I recognize him and the bald guy....they've both approached DH at security to have him take his pocket knife back to the car, LOL (he always wears it and sometimes forgets). Now I always notice the guys sitting on gate there by security 'playing' with their cell phones. Right....LOL

As far as the camera thing - Maybe he was trying to blend in but still be close enough to be between the crowd and the man while he waited for back-up?

I was over at the zazzle website looking at making some t-shirts for our trip and I found one I would buy for the screaming lady in the video if I knew her.

The front says "GET DOWN ON THE GROUND, YOU'RE IN DISNEYLAND" and the back says "THERE ARE KIDS HERE." I was having a soda at the time I saw it and as soon as i cleaned it off my computer from the fit of laughter the shirt brought me, I had to come over here and tell y'all about it.
