In and Out Burger

Well we can all agree that In & Out burgers are far better than the ones they try to sell at DL. I think I would rather go to McDonalds then eat the burgers and fries at DL.

While I will not nearly be as rude as the other poster who does not care for In-and-Out, I will say I just don't get what all the hype is all about? I have had burgers 10x better. Heck 5 guys beats In-and-Out by far. red Robin I find better. I think that it is way over hyped, of course all you out of towners want In-and-Out and want to help our local economy, who am I to tey to stop you. Enjoy.

Eh and I am not impressed with 5 Guys, they are charging double what In-N-Out does, about what Burger Lounge does and Burger Lounge is using grass fed beef.

Red Robin is a sit down place and different than the fast food category and I wouldn't rate Red Robin all that high in the world of sit down restaurants.

This thread reminds me of the coffee threads where someone is asking about Starbucks. Someone will then post that Starbucks has lousy coffee. True enough as there are far better places for coffee, but they will fail to mention that DL serves Nescrap that is only slightly better than sludge.

Almost, I love that new Pastrami burger at Pinocchios.

Yes I will give them credit for trying. They are making a big improvement. The new burgers are far better than the old ones. I even had a decent flatbread pizza at Village Haus last time I was there.

Thanks, I just went to thier site and it's shows 7 locations, between Orem and Farmington. It will be much nicer to get to thoser rather than have to make it to St. George where if I am it's likely I am going to Vegas or DL anyway.

Currently it's Centerville not Farmington that has the In n Out. Riverdale is getting one soon too. :woohoo:

Seriously. This thread reminds me of TOO MANY of the threads on the WDW section of the DIS.
:flower3:
Let's not become THAT!

Let me explain something to you. What I said was I don't understand the hype. I did offer a personal opinion of the place, yes, but I just don't see why people hold this place in such high regard. If you want to talk about a more localized burger, find a Fatburger. Blows In-and-Out out of the water.

Being on the east coast, we don't have In and Out Burger. So I wanted to try it. I went once, and the burgers were pretty okay. I couldn't remember the thing about animal style fries until I got back to the hotel, and looked it up on the DIS. Since I love cheese and onions this sounds yummy. I am going to try them again at another location. Sometimes one location is better than another. I am a big fan of Five Guys, which we do have on the east coast. Especially the fries. The burgers remind me of the original "hot-n-juicy" burgers Wendy's had when they first opened many years ago.:thumbsup2

This is the nice thing about this country. If one eatery doesn't appeal to you, you can pick another one. So many CHOICES!

One huge exception: the parmesan garlic pommes frites at Cafe Orleans mmm.....

I am with you. I don't understand the In And Out hype at all. When i moved to CA, I was told by a lot of people how great in and Out was. I have tried it several times, and I leave disappointed every single time. I just do not like it at all. I really tried and gave In and Out the benefit of a bad day more than once, but it continues to disappoint. It is off my list. I would rather have the cheese burger at DL. The one I had yesterday was better than some I have had in the past. For a quick service one though, my favorite is a tiny hot dog place right near where I live and work. So fresh and tasty.

I think a lot of it does have to do with the novelty of it for people from out of town. I know that the first time I had it when visiting from virginia about 3 years ago, I thought it was great. And when I first moved here, I would eat it whenever I wanted a burger. However, i've been here for about 2 1/2 years now and the last time I had in-n-out was probably about 6 months ago. And we have one right across the street from campus and I STILL dont go. I mean, it's not bad....I just don't think its necessarily as great as I used to think it was. I think for me at least, the novelty has worn off.

But I completely understand why people who don't have one near them would want to have it when they are here.
