Impossible to get Cinderella Royal table after 180 days?

Were going in May and I was able to get a breakfast ressie at the end of Feb, for it.

Ahhh! Seeing things like this is why I still won't give up and continue calling to see if anyone cancelled :)

Hope you have a wonderful time!

I would try it again, possibly for a different day. Last week I booked a table for 5 @ 8:15 in August. I could have booked it in early February. I was really surprised that we got it at all, let alone getting an early reservation.

Lori, we're completely limited to MK on Monday. I wish it weren't so, but between DH's conference one day, other folks meeting us at "the other parks of Orlando" other days, EMH's on certain days (we're staying off site and avoid EMH days), a deposition I'm covering one of the days, and family coming and going throughout the week, Monday was the only day we could dedicate to MK.

The joys of traveling with a large group :guilty:

I'm still hopeful, tho :)

Well then in that case, if you are not able to get an earlier time through a cancelation maybe you can just try checking in early and seeing if they will go ahead and seat you. That is if you can get in the park early. I hope you are able to get in earlier.

To be honest with you I was completely dumbfounded that I was able to get a reservation well into my to 180 day mark. I used to take DD back before they had made the changes when you had to be on the phone at just the right time to get the reservation. I have no desire to go back but my sister is joining us this time with her granddaughter and wanted to go, they've never been. Otherwise I would completely skip it.

Good luck!

I called.... oh, maybe a couple weeks ago (lets say mid-March) for an early August date... got a lunch reservation no problem. Didn't ask about breakfast however... we want to save those early morning hours for the rides! Plus by noon (well 12:05) we'll be hungry and looking for a break.

Called earlier in the month and booked CRT breakfast. It was a hind sight thing and I thought my DD might enjoy it. She wanted to eat at the castle the last time we were there and we did not get to. Well I booked 8/1 at 8:10 for 4 no problem.

Right there with ya', Lori. My mother & I went for dinner a few years ago, before the "change." It was okay, I suppose, but I'd never felt the need to return. We had to do the same thing then, call at seven a.m. on the 180th day.

This time we're going down with newbies (Fl natives, but newbies!), and they're dying to eat in the castle. They have two little girls, five and six, so this trip is all about the princesses :)

Personally, I'm really excited at 1900 PF. I love eating at the resorts and checking everything out. I also think the girls and parents will have a much more enjoyable time at the BBB in the afternoon followed by our PF dinner -- parks can be sooo stressful! Our PF dinner/BBB afternoon is on their "rest from the parks" day. I also hear the food at PF is pretty good -- hospital food, IMO, is better than the meal we had at CRT.

But trying to explain this to newbies is, ahem, difficult. So I keep trying and calling, lol.

Thanks for the wishes of luck!

Remember that most guests aren't booking dining 180 days out. Many guests don't book anything at all, honestly - I've often seen guests at the guest service/concierge desk often trying to get dining reservations. You aren't fighting other guests on the phone at 180 days out for any restaurant.

Cinderellas isn't as impossible to get as it used to be. As mentioned, it's pretty expensive now - a lot of guests find out the price and decide not to do it. I have done the dinner, as a guest of someone else - but I'd not pay for it myself. The food was okay, but overall it wasn't really memorable (before the price increase, I did have a very nice lunch at CRT). I do miss the days where I could go and have a nice non-character lunch.

You should definitely call for CRT. I got CRT lunch reservations at approx. 80 days out -- it was not my ideal time -- 2:20, but its doable.

I just wanted to say that the girls will absolutely love the BBB. I took my DD -8 for her birthday in December. Now this is a very spoiled child but she had me in tears when they finished and she said "Thank you mommy. This was the best day ever." Just wait until you see the faces of those little girls.

And this just came to me, maybe they have two tables for 4 that you could get at an earlier time. This is what we are doing at Donalds @ AK. The earliest time they had was 9 something and when I wasn't thrilled the CM said she could get us two tables at 8. She said she couldn't guarantee we would be sat next to each other but that they would do everything they could to make sure we were. CRT is small and all one room so you would definetly be able to see each other during the meal. It's at least something to think about.

I had my choice of days and times for breakfast about 160 or so days out for July. It is not nearly as hard to book as it used to be.

Thanks for the feedback on the BBB, Lori. My mother & I passed through after it had first opened, and we both commented that we wished something like that was there when she was taking me as a child back in the '70s. Definitely looks like something little girls would really, really enjoy

I think our friends will enjoy DTD, too. They didn't even really know about it. They thought it was all bars and clubs.

I'm a little bummed we won't be there for the makeover, but that will be the only time DH & I can steal away to Epcot -- actually, that afternoon is the only time DH & I will have alone. And no trip to Orlando is complete for us without Epcot. We'll either meet back up with them at the timeshare or just meet them over at the GF for dinner, so we'll see the "finished results" of the BBB :)

Their appointment is at two p.m., and our ADR at 1900 PF is at eight p.m. Do you think we're allowing too much time to lapse there? They did not opt for the package including the princess dress. The kids actually have their own dresses they bought here locally. But do you think the stuff in the hair will last about five hours or so?

The hair will definetly last but unless you want that long between the appointment it isn't needed. DD's appointment was at 2 and we had a dinner reservation at Chef Mickey's at 6. The BBB was running late and we actually waited about 30 minutes. DD's hair is very long and it took a full hour to do just her hair. We did the whole package, dress and all (it was her birthday) and we still had plenty of time. We weren't rushed at all and even got to Chef Mickey's at about 5:30.

Her hair lasted until she got in the pool that night. If she hadn't had to go swimming it probably would have lasted for several days, at least most of it. It was braided into several sections and that part stayed until we removed it.

there is only 3 in my family but one afternoon * 3 years ago * we just walked right in and got a table for lunch but for a family your size it will be tougher i suppose gl:grouphug:
