We are planning a trip for April. I was thinking back to last time we went to WDW back in 2001. I thought for sure I booked in July for a Sept. trip. I remember callling at 7am and taking 3 days to get a reservation.
My kids really liked this breakfast and I'm wondering if I should change my trip time so that we can go.
What about lunch and dinner there? Is that new since 2001? Are those any easier to get? This will be the last time I take my little kids while they still care about meeting princesses and princes.

Any suggestions? There are 7 of us in all, so the reservations may be harder to get than if there were just 4 of us.

We booked in November for January , last year. You may have to just keep calling and take what ever is available.

You may also want to consider the Princess Storybook Breakfast in Norwway at Epcot. It is less expensive, easier to get a ressie and a better experince IMHO.

There is also lunch and dinner available in Norway with princesses and Cinderella and Prince Charming at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian for lunch and dinner.

It has changed since 2001. With the fixed menu and price, it seems a bit easier to get - why not just call and ask - you can check for any day you plan to be there. We prefer the princess interaction in Norway, especially for breakfast, but did Cindy's lunch last year. Had no trouble getting either reservation (but we did stay concierge and used their planners to do it for us.)

We couldnt get a ressie for Cindy's last year for our trip. So we ended up going to 1900 instead. I have to say the food and character interaction there is WONDERFUL! We didnt even try for Cindy's this year.

It is no longer as difficult to get altogether--many still book at 180 exactly, but usually until about a month prior you cn get in. It is much different than it used to be and with the increased price many repeat visitors do not book it every year.

I think it depends on which part of April you will be going. If your trip is during the busy Spring Break season, CRT may be full. However, if you are going during the later part of April, you may be pleasantly surprised. I called a couple of weeks ago for an early May breakfast seating for 5 people and had several choices of available times. Good luck.

Just phoned last night for CRT breakfast for our trip in May and got it no problem...mind you it is just DD and myself for Breakfast, so not sure if that makes a difference that there are only the 2 of us.

Try the regular ressie line first. If they can't help you, try the Grand Gatherings CM. Come to think of it, you may need 8 people to use them, but worth a shot. I was trying to book HDDR for my sis (8 in her family) in Oct, and got no where. They transferred me to GG, and I had first choice ADR in 2 minutes. Good luck!

I was able to get a table for dinner for week after next. Just called yesterday. I would try - who knows you might get lucky!

We just came back and the Cinderella breakfast has changed and is a great way to see some of the characters. Plus, the girls get a magic wand, the boys get a magic sword, we got a heart, and the picture with Cinderella is included in the cost. We used the meal plan and it used 2 of our meals, however it was worth it!! The danish with the warm blueberry compote is to die for!! :cool1:

If you can't get the time you want, just call every day until you go. Also, cancelations usually happen the week of, so call then also. You never know. Hope you get in.

We are booked for a trip in February (16 days!!!). I decided in December to go for the Cinderella's castle dinner for our last night and got a reservation no problem. I had booked everything in November and had no problems with any of the places I selected.

We were able to book a dinner (had our choice of evenings) at the castle for 2nd week in Feb. I called about a month ahead. They were totally booked for breakfast and lunch, though. Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm sure someone will ;) ), but the Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother don't move around the tables at dinner. You see them before and have pics done, and then eat. Which might work better to actually get the twins to eat:rolleyes1

We tried the Princess dinner at Epcot in Sept. 05, and the character interaction was awesome. It was our dd's favorite experience. However, the menu didn't work for our family very well (DH loved it, 3 yr old twins "not so much", and I was okay). We're skipping it this trip for the dinner with Cindy. MY ds says the princesses aren't his thing, so I don't plan on subjecting him to two meals with the ladies. Plus, I heard Ariel was not at Norway anymore...and that's the favorite.

I don't think CRT is as hard to get as it used to be since they raised the price. Try it and see, I hope you can get it!

I also cancelled a reservation for 4 on 4/24. I am trying to decide whether to bring my DS5 or not? Any suggestions?

We did Grand Floridian in Setp 05 and DD6 wants to go back there more than to this! What do you think?

We liked the breakfast at Norway with the Princesses better than CRT. We thought the food was better, the service superior, and the interaction with the characters more relaxed. At CRT we had to practically beg for more food - it is a pre-plated all-you-can-eat, but they made us feel bad for asking for more. At Norway, the servers offered more food everytime they saw an empty plate.

On the other hand, my sister will only do the Princess breakfast at CRT. She loves the whole castle experience. So I guess it is all about what you are looking for.

Good luck!

BTW, the characters don't circulate around the room during dinner at CRT from what I understand. But it is easier to get a dinner reservation!

I did cinderellas royal table once and never again. Way over priced. It takes 2 dinners from your DDP:confused3
Much better place is Princess Storybook Breakfast in Norwway at Epcot. Most all of the princess`s were there, the food was great and the waitress asked if we wanted more. She brought out another complete meal!:thumbsup2 ....Now thats the place to be if you have young girls:cool1:

We are going for dinner on 3/4/07, and just made our resise yesterday 1/25/07, but for breakfast they fill up quick, escessially b/c that's when alot of ppl will be there for spring break.

We moved our wedding dat up from May 2008 to August 2007. While my fiance was on the phone making dining reservations for our Disneymoon, my MIL told me we should try to eat lunch in the castle. YEAH RIGHT! I explained to her how you had to get up at the crack of dawn and call many months ahead. Well, about that time Ryan sticks his head in and tells me he got lunch in the castle. HAHA!

So, yeah...apparently they aren't THAT hard to get! :cool1:

Due to the price increase, pre-paying, 180 days, and adding the character lunch, it is definitely easier to get than it used to be.

Breakfast books the fastest, then lunch and then finally, dinner.

Be aware though that dinner is NOT an official character meal and you will not see a bunch of princesses walking around. For all 3 meals, Cinderella is downstairs for photos/autographs but upstairs there are no characters circulating for photos/autographs. Fairy Godmother and Suzie and Perla (the mice) do a briefy 'celebration' show and that is it; then they leave. No photos/autographs with them.

I don't know if it's impossible, but it sure appears to be hard.

DH & I are going with friends and their daughters end of April/beginning of May. We set the trip up last month, and CRT for breakfast has been sold out every day that I've called for breakfast or lunch on the day we're planning on hitting MK (a Monday and non-EMH day). I wish we could plan our vacations six or twelve months out, but we're all self-employed, so usually that's impossible. Two months to six weeks out, we generally have a pretty good idea if a vacation is doable.

We were able to secure 1900 Park Fare at 8:00 p.m. on another night, tho. The girls are going to get gussied up at BBB and head over for dinner. It ain't eating in the castle, but hopefully it will be special :)
