Bring some ground coffee, too, if you're staying more than a couple of days.

Basket filters, reg. size, not the 4 cup size.

and not the big ones, bring your Mr Coffee filters and you should be fine!

I've had both the 4-cup size and the larger 10 or 12 cup machines in BWV studios (different stays). If you have both size filters, it wouldn't hurt to bring them both.

I've also seen both standard size and 4 cup size coffee makers in the studios....though I'm getting the impression that they are trying to phase into having a standard size in all rooms.

But they are always basket filters.

If DVC really wants to drive us all mad they'll start replacing coffee makers with ones with cone shaped filters...and we'll all have to keep 3-4 different kinds of filters in our DVC bags!

Thanks for the info. Looks like DH skated by on this one. I sent him to the store a week ago to get cone filters for our home coffee maker and he came back with a package of basket filters. Good thing I didn't rush to return them. Of course, I now have enought to last me almost till the DVC contact expires! LOL!

A couple of drops of vanilla in the pot will eliminate any bitterness. Put it in prior to brewing.
