I have just booked 3 nights at Poly Conceirge through DVC...............when I asked the lady booking it whether it was lagoon conceirge she said that no, it was water view conceirge, so we could have a view of the lagoon, or it could be a swimming pool!!!!!! I confirmed that these were not garden view rooms!

Please could someone help.......I thought that all the Poly conceirge rooms over looked the lagoon at the front of the building, and all the garden view rooms were at the back......am I right?! Are there any rooms that overlook a pool>!!

The garden rooms have some view of the quiet pools. There are only 2 types of concierge rooms at the Polynesian, lagoon and garden.

Do you think that essentially 'Water' means the same as 'Lagoon' at Poly conceirge?! Part of the reason I booked conceirge was for the view of the MK from Hawaii!!!

You actually used your DVC points for Poly Concierge? That's really expensive, point-wise!

I used my DVC oints this past July for a Poly conciegre stay. When we booked our ressie, we were told it was "lagoon view concierge". I would call back and ask if I were you...it will give you some piece of mind.
As for the usage of pints, no it isn't the most efficient use of points. However, I bought my DVC so we would have options to stay ay resorts we otherwise would not be able to pay cask for. Our Poly LVC stay was amazing and we are definately doing it again (on points!)

We stayed Poly GVC last November and had a beautiful view of the "quiet pool". PM me and I'll give you the picture if you are interested.

BTW, we had an excellent room with a very nice view if you are not interested in sitting on your balcony watching the fireworks over the castle. We watched them every night from the concierge lounge or from the beach. Unless you have very small childern who you think should be in bed during/right after the fireworks, then the garden view concierge would probably work out just fine for you. We loved the Poly and especially the concierge service and will probably never stay anywhere else in Disneyworld.

Concierge or not, the Poly only has 2 views-lagoon and garden. Rooms overlooking the pools are considered garden view as are the rooms in Fiji that overlook the marina. Water view is not a category at the Poly. :)

Thanks for all the replies! I have e-mailed the Poly as suggested and they have confirmed that it is lagoon view! So now I can breathe a sigh of relief! ha! ha!

You're right, it is a lot of points.......but I would never pay cash for it and DVC means we can 'treat' ourselves with points....next on my wish list is GF conceirge!

One idea for a future stay is to rent out the your points then just pay as a cash ressie. Its a better deal.

my dh and I just decided to do five nights at the poly concierge on points too! I posted a thread and was told that with points you are given a logoon view room. I am calling member services today so I will ask.

We're staying on points (in 9 days!) too! No regrets even though it may not be the wisest choice of points, but that's what we're using it for. Maybe someday we'll consider renting out our points but right now we're new and don't feel like going through the hassle. Love our DVC!!

I just got off the phone with MS and the person I spoke to told me that when booking poly concierge on points you are given a GV OR LG there is no set view. I guess it is all up to chance! she also told me that I would get whatever was not booked. Now, if we can book 11 months out there should be a lagoon view room for us right? And for all the points it costs we should get a lagoon view! :sunny:

We are staying 2 nights Poly GVC and then 1 night on points! I was told by Member Services that it is indeed a Lagoon view!( We figured we would have to switch rooms!) Let's hope they are right. When I contact planning I will ask!
