lori, How will the system know its that person? IP address? if so that makes everyone at that place have a ban.. And also if someone chooses to get a new account but doesnt realise that their old was banned, does it still count against them?

The system recognizes you by your IP.

Whenever you log on to DIS, a reason will pop-up why you are banned, when it expires and so forth. Therefore, I cannot think of a way that you wouldn't know that you were banned.

Important information everyone should read and understand

If you accumulate an amount of infraction points that triggers a penalty, you MAY NOT use another account while this penalty is in effect. Attempting to get around the system by using an alternate ID will result in a Permanent ban on all accounts.

I know someone voiced concern that if they get an IP ban will other's in their house be able to post on the DIS.. and from my understanding No they will not...

And In My opinion... tough noogies. It's not easy to get a Ban in the first place... repeated offences and/or scooting around a temp ban deserves to be permentaly banned. Unfortunatly they only way to do that is banning the IP (oh and any NEW IP you might try to get too... just so you know)

Sooooooooooooo............. I strongly suggest to anyone who is close to a ban, stop all the garbage... just stop it. Because sooner or later you will be caught, and stopped and everyone in your family will pay for it... (and everyone who has to read garbage before you have been banned had to pay for it too)

Life it too short to play bad internet games... it really is...
