Are you SURE? Just got off the phone with them and was told it was each way. I cannot find anything saying one-way or return on the website.

What if people only wanted to take luggage on one of their flights?

I was told by AirTran that the $15 is for each way (not counting connecting flights) - $30 total round trip for each first bag per person.

I would ask about the airtran baggage fees over on transportation board, they are usually very knowledgable about these things , I thought it was each way too, but if its roundtrip that saves me a bit which would be an added bonus...

Do you have a connecting flight? Is it possible that the agent thought you were asking about paying for both legs of the connecting flight? In the case of connecting flights, the $15 fee is the total for both flights, but only for one way.
