Important Info For Cruisers Departing Dover Summer 2020

For anyone who is on any of the summer 2020 cruises departing Dover , England, please be aware that if you want to take Disney Cruise Line transportation from London to Dover, the pick up departure point has changed.

In previous years it was at the Hilton Doubletree Victoria.

For summer 2020 this has changed to Hilton London Metropole https://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/u...-metropole-LONMETW/maps-directions/index.html

This is due to construction at Hilton Doubletree Victoria. If you have booked this Disney Cruise Line transportation, please contact Disney Cruise Line.

Ah, that explains why when I contacted DCL the Doubletree wasn’t one of the options the agent gave me for transfers. I’m on the WBTA in October and have been trying to figure out transfers. Thank you!

I highly recommend doing a transfer with a stop at an attraction (such as Dover Castle) if using a coach. It's a long uneventful trip otherwise. Try Londontoolkit (https://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/dover_to_london_disney.html).

The coolest version of the transfer is the return trip when you can visit the Warner Bros studio / Harry Potter sets. By far the best London-area attraction for families.

I was booking my transfer and pre cruise hotel with DCL the other week and they noted that they weren't doing transfers from doubletree. I posted this in the FB group discussion and someone said they just spoke to DCL and were confirmed transfers were going to be from the doubletree. The odd thing was they quoted $60 per person for transfers. I was told $75 per person.

However, I just checked our updated cruise confirmation and its $50 per person per leg of our transportation (airport to hotel, hotel to port, port to hotel, hotel to airport).

@EeyoreJMH you are welcome, theres not that much info about European cruises compared to The Bahamas and Caribbean cruises so I thought that it would be a good idea to post as much as I can when I'm doing my planning, as a lot of my info will be useful to other cruisers
