Hmm... so maybe I don't want to book AKL Savannah view for my trip. I guess the animals won't be gone until the 15th, and I'll be leaving on the 13th, but I don't know.

Well, what would be the alternative? Stress out the animals? Close down the entire resort?

Disney is doing what is best for the animals. Humans can always stay somewhere else or choose a different view.

It does stink, even though of course it needs to be done at some point.

After reading that link, my question is does this only affect DVC members? The article mentioned a vacation point credit for all DVC members affected. What about regular guests who booked savannah view-will they be refunded if they get put in the sunset savannah as well?

DF & I were thinking about doing an AKL split stay during our next trip, but I don't want to risk not getting to see the animals from my balcony.
