We went to the first EMH at MGM on Sunday night. What I didn't know is that FastPass distribution begins again at the beginning of EMH. So in our case, EMH lasted from 7-10pm. FastPass distribution machines opened again at 7pm with ride times generally in the 7:20-8:20pm window. Standby wait times for RocknRoller Coaster and Tower of Terror were between 45 minutes and an hour. I wish I would have got the FastPasses at 7pm! FastPasses were gone by about 8:30pm. Food for thought if you are planning to do EMH in the evening!

Diznut84--
Thanks for your "food for thought!!" Appreciated!

Thanks for the Info. It sounds like you pick your favorite ride, and then stand by the FP machine to get a ticket right at EMH opening.

...and quick get in the standby line too!!

We were there to and I did not know the fast passes were even working Thanks

Thanks for the great info!! We are counting down the days until we get to try out the new Evening EMH - we're finally in the teens now! :Pinkbounc :D

Diznut84 - was the window to get another FP the same . . . five minutes after your FP time starts? I wonder with the reduced hours if all of the FPs would be gone by then - did you use more than one FP that night?
One more question - how were the rides during Fantasmic? I'm assuming they still showed Fantasmic at 7 - did you notice how the lines were if you weren't at the show - Thanks for the info - we want to take advantage of EMH on Sunday 1/30 at MGM, since we'll only be down for a very quick trip :smooth:

Thanks for the info- it is noted for our trip:)

You hit my problem on the head. We went to Fantasmic and then did the EMH. In retrospect, I would definitely recommend that you attend Fantasmic a different night than EMH nights. I'll bet the lines were non-existent during Fantasmic.

As for when you can get your next FastPass, it is the same as during the day (one minute after your ride window opens). Good luck to all! Tomorrow we'll try the new strategies at Magic Kingdom! :)

Thanks so much for the info!! Much appreciated! Sorry you kinda got screwed tho 'cos you didn't know :(

Looking forward to hearing your feedback on MK emh.

Wow! The lines were VERY short! There were FastPasses offered for Space Mountain. At 8pm, the standby line was 20 minutes. FastPasses were also offered with the window beginning in only 25 minutes.

There were no FastPasses for any other rides. The wait times were:

Buzz: 20 minutes
Big Thunder: 15 minutes
Speedway: 20 minutes
Splash: 5 minutes (and it was warm out!)

What a GREAT night!

Thanks for the information!

Diznut, as someone going in a couple of weeks, I really appreciate your posting this information so promptly!
Question: do you know if MK was uncrowded last night just for EMH, or was it the whole day? Have the crowds tapered off a bit yet?
thanks, and have a great rest of the trip!

Yes, thanks for the information everyone. Is helping my planning a lot. Three days to go! I'll be sure to report anything I find.

I'm really glad about FP - and I ended up cancelling my Fantasmic! package for this Sunday night. As much as I love Fantasmic (and I may not get to see it another night during this short trip), I really want to take advantage of the first FPs and the time between 7 and 8 when everyone is in/getting out of Fantasmic.

It's sort of a challenge to myself - I wanna see how many times in a row I can ride RnR. :)

As to the MK, I'm crossing my fingers that it stays that slow. Sounds like you can pack a lot of rides into 3 hours!

The MK EMH is the only one we will use next week, so it is nice to know how the first one went! I just wish we were going to have a little more of a history to look at! We will be sure to let everyone know how it goes next Wednesday. I anticipate more crowds because of the holiday weekend (don't know when people start arriving for that - hopefully not until Friday :D ) but there are also a LOT of sports teams at WWoS next weekend. My cousin said she though people there for sports competitions might add days BEFORE they are scheduled to compete because you never know how long it will be before you get eliminated. On the other hand, going earlier means pulling kids out of school. So we'll see!

N.E.D.-

I wish you well in your quest to conquer R-n-RC!
