Important But Strange Question about Aulani

Does anyone know if there will be air conditioning in the villas at Aulani. I know this might seem like a strange question to those who haven't been to Hawaii. But many very nice resorts there don't have air conditioning. I can't say I totally agree with those who say it isn't necessary! When we went to Kauai in July this summer, the unit we were in had it in the bedrooms but not the living/dining area. It sure felt nice to sleep in the AC. Looking at the member website I see references to ceiling fans but nothing about AC. Has anyone else asked?

Having live there for 3 years, I can't think of a single high rise condo or hotel I was in that didn't have AC. Lots of houses though including our own. No heaters either as a rule. I think you can safely assume AC will be present.

I checked with my guide today and he said that yes there will be air conditioning.

I think A/C is pretty standard newer construction, like Aulani. I would not from a moment think there will be no A/C there.

But, we did stay at the Moana in 1976, and that old historic hotel did not have A/C, and it was quite warm in June. Most commercial buildings in CA and HI have A/C. Homes not so much.
