Important Birthday trip coming up!

It appears as if me DF is going to WDW for my sweet sixteen! Does Disney do anything special for the "Important" or big, life changing(i would be getting a car if i had my license by then, i had it picked out and everything) birthdays?

I celebrated my 30th at the MK in 2003! They didn't do anything special for the year, but their usual birthday stuff.

When you get to the park, stop by City Hall and tell them it's your birthday. They will give you a birthday pin, then CMs and some guests will be wishing you a happy birthday all day (or so is the plan.. I'd say less than half the CMs noticed the pin... Not that it upset me).

When I went for dinner, well first my wiseguy friends told the people at the front (we went to Cindy's for dinner... Where else to celebrate but the castle? They got there first because I got stuck waiting for the pyros to set up the fireworks show). So when they called our name for our table, they had everyone in the lobby sing happy birthday to me. Then they did it again for dessert, and gave me a special brownie and a certificate. It definitely was a great time.

Birthday recognition is really unpredictable. Some have reported restuarants going out of their way to make it special when noted on a PS. Others reported not a word mentioned even when on a PS.

Same w/ the bday buttons, some CM's will do something alittle special. Others don't even notice.

All the same, what a great place to spend a birthday!!!

Definitely... Myself and some friends are gonna make it tradition for our special birthdays after that first one!
