If you are going to do character autographs on fabric stick with Sharpie brand permanent markers. On our trip last month, my son wanted to do something different instead of an autograph book. He has 3 sitting in a drawer. When I went to the store, Bic had these permanent markers in cool bright colors, so I went with them. Big mistake!!! Huge!! When I washed the shirt the first time all the ink ran. I washed on cold. I was upset, sons upset. He worked so hard to get so many autographs. He had 27. These were supposed to be permanent!!! Well, I found the package and thought I would write the company about their product. When looking for the address, I found in very small letters “not suitable for fabrics”. Auuggghhh! Why would they use the word “permanent”???
My daughter has taken sharpie markers to summer camp and had her friends sign a shirt every year and we have never had this problem.

In the end: Use Sharpie Brand – Stay away from Bic Brand!!

Kim, thank you for the warning. What a disappointment for your son. :(
