Impacts from Thunderstorm warnings

Twice during our recent visit all outdoor rides (7DMT, BTMR etc....) closed due to thunderstorm warnings. As a result those with FPs for those rides at those times, plus others looking to go on ride, flooded indoor attractions and rides (for example POTC). Just be aware that both FP and standby lines for indoor attractions will quickly build up. We noticed this and the delays it could have for guests in line or longer then expected ride times impacting subsequent FPs. Just something to be aware and prepare to adjust accordingly as needed. Also once the rides reopen many holding FPs for time during the closure will return to ride at late time - also increasing FP lines and impacting standby waits.

Yep, just the way it is! Another reason, along with many others - heat, extreme crowding, etc. - we no longer go in summer.

We managed to work around it, in terms of planning and expectations just thought it would help others especially those in park when the outside rides close and they can be prepared to adjust accordingly.

We had a bit of rain at AK this morning. We went to get in the line for Dinosaur as it was letting up and it jumped to 25 minutes right as we were going to enter. I had my family back out and checked MDE for a FP. I snagged one 5 minutes from the current time. So we waited 5 minutes and walked right into the FP line. Total wait maybe 10 minutes?

I would imagine it would make a big different depending on what time of day it happened and how long it lasts. I was there a couple weeks ago and we got a pretty late storm that lasted into the night. It cleared MK out completely and there were no waits for anything. Peter Pan was the only thing I found with a substantial wait I think. If it was a quick storm earlier in the day, yeah I doubt it would clear anyone out of the park and would just drive up the lines at indoor attractions.

This is why it is as important as ever to do the most popular rides at rope drop in the summer....any fastpass from 12-5 is merely a suggestion

Ahh. The best time to walk between Space Mountain and the Fantasyland railroad station ... Without the drone of Speedway cars!
