Has anyone gone to the taping of Impact wrestling at Universal? What was it like?

Yes anyone can, it's free, but you have to sign up at the Studio Center when you enter Universal in the morning of the show. It's first come first serve I believe.

Yep, Jeff Hardy joined TNA Wrestling last week, meaning he will be at USF every week

Oh my gosh! ok I told my dd's and they did definately flip out! Does anyone know when the taping of the show is? We are going to be there this coming Sept on only a Sunday and Monday night. Keeping my fingers crossed! Where do they tape the show?

They tape on Thursdays... DFiance is devestated...lol! He only has off on Sunday/Monday nights.

We will be there on a Wednesday and Thursday night in a few months and DS is VERY excited. He also likes Jeff Hardy and keeps going on and on about A J Styles.

Just came back from an Impact taping...

Some notes...


Many of the big names are not on the show...including Raven, Sting and Johhny Fairplay.

It is a first come, first serve basis. You must line up for the show, starting at 545pm, just by Nick Studios. They then line you up, and let you in filling in the stands.

The set is mostly wooden bleachers and chairs, and not a bad seat in the house. My seat was right behind the announcers, and we had awesome views of the "bad guy" entrance ramp, making it easy to take pics, and yell at the wrestlers..

Impact is a family friendly atmosphere, meaning there is no cursing or anything objectionable.

The taping lasts about an hour and a half, so be prepared for the possibility of the park being closed when the taping is over.

They do sell drinks including beer and soda, pretzles and hotdogs at the show.

Sounds Good, But Is It worth it? I mean, I like WWE, but never watched this TNA-NWA Stuff. I wanna see the big names like AJ Styles, Raven, Jeff Hardy, Jeff Jarrett etc. So is it worth it?

I too am a big WWE fan. Honestly the show is a little sub par....I did see AJ Styles wrestle, and got to see a Jeff Jarrett interview, and also Larry Zybisko came out...I also saw D-Lo Brown, Road Dogg, and Konan. Otherwise that was it. The reason I had fun wasnt because of the wrestling, but the fans...They made it rock. Its a fun experience, and its free with paid admission to US.

My kids are really into WWF and I intend taking them to see impact when we get to Orlando in a few days time. You say that the show starts at 5.45. Any advice on when to join the line to make sure of being admitted?

The line opens at 5:45.....And i think they opened it up earlier than that honestly....bring a magazine..LOL...it gets boring...But we got there at about 5:45 and we waited in line till about 6:30 or so...The taping starts at 7pm...There was a few matches before hand...

Do resort guests have any advantage with FOTL? Also, someone a few posts earlier said something about signing up in the morning. How does that work?

I honestly dont know anything about that and I dont think being a resort guest has any special privilage. I asked about AP holders and they said no. It is not a Universal event, it is being put on by TNA-NWA wrestling. They are just using the soundstage there, and getting a "free" audience out of it.

Someone mentioned that you needed to sign up when entering the park, is that correct or do you just line up?

I just lined up....I know nothing of signing up...but you may have to sign up to get the standing only section...Otherwise, I just lined up at the specified time
