Day 1 - Fri Oct 5th (trip actually started day before when I drove to the airport hotel)
Up at 4am, flew to Orlando from Providence with my 9yr son.

Checked into Wilderness Lodge, changed room number because I didnt want an enclosed balcony. Had lots of questions for guest services. Found our room and balcony. Gorgeous
Stopped at Roaring Forks to pickup lunch and the refillable mugs.
Met JBurke at Wilderness Lodge pool. Very friendly family. Hi Janice
Got in some pool time.

Took boat from Wilderness Lodge to Contemporary. Took picture with the large, steel mickey ears. Chef Mickey's for 530pm dinner - great way to begin vacation, very fun, celebrated MILs birthday. MIL and I split the picture package - came with 2 8x10s and 2 photo magnets. Lots of dancing and napkin waving. After leaving Chef Mickey's MIL and I went to the observation deck to check the scenery.

Took the monorail to EpCot to activate MILs annual pass. However, once we were there she realized her annual pass was back at the room. Took bus back to Wilderness Lodge.

Electric Water Pageant from boat dock 935 (most nights we watched from our balcony)
Bed at 940 to get ready for first park day (towards the end of vaca I told the MIL we had 940 bedtimes most of the week - she never realized that and thought it was another of my commando modes until I told her we were usually in bed after the electric water pageant)

Sounds like a nice day! I always seem to miss the Electrical Water Pageant. :( I hope I get to see it next trip! Looking forward to hearing more about your trip....

You know I've been waiting for your report!!!! Even though I'm no longer staying at WL, it is great that I can read your report and live vicariously through you. We also HAD 5:30 PS's at Chef Mickeys' for our arrival date. We were also going to request a room from which we could see the water pageant. I can't wait to read more.....

Me too. Every time I hear from someone who stayed at WL, it's like I'm there again.
