photoshp was hard, ok i gave up on the free cs trial so maybe it was impossible but i am getting a "free" tutorial ( think it's for cs and i was more thinking of along the lines of elements...)not sure if the tutorial will be useful or not, how close are the 2 progrms , is the cs just more involved or totally different?

paint shop pro x is ok and i can get paint shop vs 9 for $29...is that a cheaper version or older version

and any suggestions for a not very computer knowlegeable person for any other similar programs?

Microsoft has a sixty day "trial" version of its "Digital Image" software:

I have messed around with the trial version a bit this week and find that it is fairly user-friendly, and has some video and text tutorials to help you get started. It retails for $50 at Sam's Club so is not outrageous.

Anyone else have any experience with this product?

I saw it at a local Wal-Mart for $80 yesterday. I'd love to hear where to get it for $20.

not sure if you can post links to stores but i googled it and found it for $39 at a well rated place that swears it isn't pirated..it says it's an oem version( the one i found ) so no cd, you'd have toburn your own after you downloaded it, and no tech support from adobe. they also had other versions for less... Vio Software was the place i saw it but i did see it less( don't remember how much less) but wondered about the place that was selling it

It's not a store, I have a friend who reviews softwares and he can buy copies of the software downloaded directly from Adobe FTP site (legitimate, not pirated, not bootleg). Of course the end result will be on CD-R, but it's a legitimate download. I bought mine from him. I hardly use it but it's a full version and I can download updates just like the store-bought version.
