Why is it that when I post an Imagestation pic on my EzBoard, it will show up for two days, have a red X for two days, show up for two days, etc? I've noticed the code actually changes every 2 days, somehow! Now, I've seen people post Imagestation pics on here with no problem, or else I would think it was something Imagestation does to keep people from linking. What is up with that, and can I get around it???

Maybe you are exceeding bandwidth? I gave up on free image hosting and bought my own webspace. There are some affordable hosts out there if you check around. Doteasy.com gives 20 megs of webspace and a domain name for about $25 US a year. I use another host and they have unlimited bandwidth but it does cost more.

Not sure of that one, Doc. You might look at www.worldzone.net. I know quite a number of DIS'ers use that, me included. You can get 100 meg space and linking ability for $12 per year. I have two of those accounts plus a 'pro' account, for higher bandwidth use, at $9 per month. With no more pictures of consequence to be posted here, I may cut back or out of the 'pro' account though.

Dan, that makes me so sad that we won't see Dan Murphy picture posts anymore.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I'll second that, I always looked forward to Dan's picture posts from his trips to WDW or DIS meets. :(

Coming in late to the discussion...but why wouldn't Dan be able to link his pictures here? Couldn't people view his WONDERFUL photos that way?

And DocRafiki, I enjoy boomspeed for image hosting. I think what happens at imagestation is that the have frequent downtimes for whatever reason. That's when those fun red X's start showing up.

I believe Boomspeed is done offering free accounts but it's still a cheap and very easy to use system for hosting images. :)

Dan,
You can still post 8 images per post. I don't really understand why that would preclude posting any more "pictures of consequence."

I think because it makes it a real pain to post a bunch of pictures when you have to jump through hoops to post them. I'm sure Dan will answer for himself, but I think it's just frustration with all the different rules that you have to follow to figure out where/how they go...

Thanks for the other site ideas, everyone. I will bookmark this page and look into them.
