Dyngus Day is a Polish-American holiday celebrated after Easter Sunday in Buffalo, New York and elsewhere. To mark the end of Lent, the joyful celebration consists of delicious food, entertaining parades, and wonderful music. This year, due to the pandemic, organizers behind the city’s Dyngus Day celebrations had to come up with creative ideas to keep the festivities alive.

In 966 A.C.E., on Easter Monday, Prince Mieszko I of Poland was baptized. Mieszko converted to Christianity because of the marriage agreement he made with his wife, Princess Dobrawa of Bohemia. By accepting Christianity as his religion, the first king of Poland was also baptizing the whole Polish nation, according to Polish News.

7. What exactly is the speed of sound...can you capture it in jar? The Marine corp aviators are having dog fights over the barren land south of us that stretches into way past mexico. Always looking into the sky to see the jet, but only to discover that you are looking at the speed of sound.

6. three vultures, in desert cartoon style, were flying over my head this morning while I was on the dry river bed....so what exactly is the speed of odor, I though I could smell sun bleached hide also, but no luck on there part.

4. Citrus trees. The only fruit tree that I know of that keeps its fruit for 4 months hanging on the branch...ripe...though actually 12 months long because there are large pea size tiny green fruit already on the tree.

3.Flowers. Yards have more vegetation here in this arid climate than a majority of the yards in oregon. Folks don't even tolerate easy to keep daffiodills in Oregon, here we have prickly cactus flowers.

2. Silt. It makes a pool clean, no bacteria, no organic, no sticking to the bottom of the pool, just the last phase of an old mountain...swimming at the bottom of the pool.

Yuma is the sunniest place on earth, though not proven scientifically, meteorologist can stay with me and document how science plays a role in that claim. we are surrounded by clouds today in California to the west, Nevada to the north and phoenix to the east, and us - blue sky as far as one can see to the south....and up!!!

okay I am ready for jeopardy.....now I know where the "bully" word dyngus comes from.....though on line there are over seven different meanings and one includes Humphrey Bogart.

....taco tuesday, taco tuesday, taco tuesday....first time I participated in the Taco Bell promotion, it was next to the labs where swife dropped off her Dr homework, which was real close to our neighborhood, no line at Taco Bell like it was 3 months ago.

I finished making two masks today. Now we each have two.

I'm making masks too. DH already has 2 no sew ones, I have 3 sewn ones, working on some for DS and DD.
They want elastic that goes around head, so I have to adapt the way I made the others.

I jarred 6 pints of it. I have .5 pint in my fridge, so not sure what I will have with it, but we were running low.
