It's terrible! I love to read, but like everything else that I do, if I like it, I REALLY like it. Whenever I start a book, I find it hard to put it down. :(

I recently finished the Chronicles of Narnia series. Now I am on a Jennifer Weiner kick. I LOVE her writing. Her characters and the stories about them just seem so real.

I want to do the Book Club here on the DIS, so I am going to have to find the Kite Runner. But I've got to finish Little Earthquakes FIRST! :)

I'm sort of "eh" about Jennifer Weiner. I find a lot of her characters a little too unrealistic for how everything else is portrayed. I've read "Good in Bed" and "In Her Shoes" and while they did keep me wanting more, I was always disappointed in the end. Is "Little Earthquakes" the murder mystery one? I might try that since it's a different type from the others. Although, I'm not much of a reader so that may never happen.

I love, love, love Jennifer Weiner!!!! :thumbsup2 I was first hooked with Good in Bed, then I loved In Her Shoes, and the most recent book, Goodnight Nobody, is GREAT!!! :goodvibes It reminded me so much of the show Desperate Housewives, which is one of my favorite shows.

I also love Narnia, I reread the series last summer. And I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan and also recently addicted to the Inheritance Triology (Eragon, Eldest). So I guess I'm a mixture of fantasy and chick books. LOL :rotfl:

No, Little Earthquakes is about 4 women and pregnacy. I am really enjoying it. But I liked her other books too.

The one that you are thinking of is called Good Night Nobody (I THINK.) I will have to read it after I read Kite Runners.

You will have to ready Little Earthquakes and I will have to read Goodnight Nobody. :) I am sure we will like them both. ::yes::

I have read all of the HP books too and really liked them, but never thought that I was big into fantasy (perhaps HP and Narnia are the exceptions.) I could not read Tolkiens things. :(

DH got me "Little Earthquakes" for Valentine's Day. So I'll be starting it soon. You should really try Eragon! It's very similar to HP and Narnia. And the movie is coming out in December, which looks to be a blockbuster!!! :) It's got John Malkovich and Jeremy Irons. :thumbsup2

I just discovered Jennifer Weiner too. I have finished Goodnight Nobody, Good In Bed, and In Her Shoes. I'm also in the middle of Little Earthquakes. Good stuff!
