Hi everyone,
I have a bit of a dilemma I was hoping you could all help with.

DBF and I are planning on going to US next year. We're debating between Feb. and Sept. He wants to go in Sept to go to HHN. I want to go in Feb. so we DON'T go to HHN lol.

I'm a great big fraidy cat. Like, really chicken. I don't know how many have been to US in California, but they had this haunted house sort of thing set up for Van Helsing, and my DBF still jokes about how bad my screams were. It scared the living daylights out of me.

How bad is HHN? I want to go for my DBF, but I'd hate to go, and then ruin his time because I'm being a chicken and have to leave him there alone, or I'm in tears the whole time.

Any other chickens have advice?

TIA!:thumbsup2

Use your powers of persuasion to get him to go in February... ;)

I HATE haunted houses and all those Halloween attractions where people jump out at you. DH and DD know not to even ask about going, because I won't do them. I would be the one in the crowd that would get picked on the most, because I'd be curled up in a fetal position, crying and rocking back and forth.

Don't know what advice to give about HHN- just try not to go at all!! :scared1:

I'm a HUGE fraidy cat, and a HUGE HHN fan! I think as long as you go in with the mindset that it's all fake, and no one can touch you, it makes the experience a lot more bearable. HHN is meant to be scary, but the haunted houses are totally optional. I get what you're saying about haunted houses; they're not really my cup of tea either, but the ones at HHN are so well done, that I go in just to see how good they are. The scare zones aren't very scary, and are VERY obviously fake.

I think it's the people jumping out at me thing that really gets to me. It startles me and makes me scream, and they think oooooo a good one and go all crazy after me haha.

When we went to US in CA a couple of years ago, right after the Mummy ride opened, they had a mummy walking around the entrance. We were in the little building that has the mandatory lockers for your stuff, and I guess he smelled my fear lol because he came running after me, chased me, and cornered me. Of course, he never touched me. But that was enough to scare the you know what out of me haha!
